Saw him for 2 seconds, during which he Impatiently asked me to explain my symptoms. When i was actually experiencing symptoms under his care, he did not have any interest in seeing them firsthand to diagnose me objectively vs based on my subjective explanation. Did not explain my diagnosis, offer to answer any of my questions, or see me again after the brief initial encounter in the ed. Was discharged by a nurse.

What an amazing bedside manner. He was very reassuring, calming, kind, and clearly likes healing people. He sat down in my room and just chatted with me about my condition and treated me like someone he cared about and wanted to help. I had a lot of confidence in his diagnosis and treatment as he was concise and clear on the info he got from blood, urine and ct scan. He was thorough, quick and super personable. My kind of guy. I hope I never end up in the ER again but If i do you can be sure I would be very relieved and feel I was in the best hands of he were on duty.

I took my wife to Hermann Memorial Hospital ER the day after Christmas. Unknown to us she had a bleeding ulcer and her hemoglobin was 5.8. Dr. Beres was the admitting physician and he keep me updated as to her condition while we waited for a room in ICU. The care she received was outstanding and I was extremely pleased with Dr. Beres and his knowledge of medicine. James Thompson
