Indispensable
Dr. Beers performed an open-heart repair of two distinct conditions for our daughter. In multiple meetings and phone calls prior to surgery, he thoroughly answered our questions and concerns while candidly expressing the risks, both likely and rare, of the procedure. By all accounts, the surgery was done with great care, and Dr. Beers was out promptly to explain everything once the repair was complete. Our daughter emerged from the surgery more energetic and healthy than ever before .Pediatric cardiothoracic surgery is something no parent wants their child to need, but which thousands do. Dr. Beers is an asset to the children of our community and the parents navigating one of the most difficult decisions they'll ever face. Our family and many others thank Dr. Beers for his dedication.

I am beyond grateful for Dr. Beers and the exceptional care he provided during my seven-week-old baby’s heart surgery. From the very first consultation, he instilled confidence with his expertise, patience, and compassion. He took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, address all our concerns, and make sure we felt supported every step of the way. The surgery was a success, and my baby is recovering beautifully. Dr. Beers’ skill, professionalism, and kindness truly exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend him to any family in need of pediatric heart care. We are forever thankful for his amazing work and the difference he’s made in our lives.

Open heart surgery
Our 8 month old son needed heart surgery for his condition. We have zero complaints, all of our questions and concerns have been taken care of amazingly. We received updates regularly throughout his procedure that helped minimize our anxiety. On post surgery observation, (I do have a medical background) the bruising at the incision site was so minimal, I could tell how gentle of a touch was used. Dr. Beers and the rest of the hospital staff did an amazing job from start to finish and they continue to do so through the follow up. Hopefully we won't need any other surgeries, but if so we know where to go.

Thank You Dr. Beers!!!!
We found out our daughter had a congenital heart defect and would need multiple surgeries after birth. Dr. Beers and his team have been absolutely amazing. We could not have asked for a better surgical team to take care of our daughter. Dr. Beers is patient, empathetic, and direct. He listens to us, allows us to ask questions, and breaks down the information so it is easy for us to understand. He and his team communicated with us every step of the way. Our family was very grateful to receive photos and videos during the cath and heart surgeries. We even got photos from the amazing NICU pediatric cardiology while she was recovering after the surgery. If you get lucky enough to have Dr. Beers perform the surgery on your child, know you are getting THE BEST CARE!!! We cannot thank him and the whole pediatric cardiology staff for helping give our daughter a chance to live a happy and healthy life.

Amazing surgeon!!!
Our son was born with a undetected congenital heart defect. He was flown to Arnold Palmer right after birth due to low oxygen and they discovered the defect and informed us that he would need open heart surgery. Dr. Beers was very informative, sympathetic, and I really appreciated that he sat down with us and explained exactly what he would be doing during the surgery and what to expect during recovery. That surgery saved my baby boy's life! The incision healed so well and you can barely see it now. I cannot thank Dr. Beers and his team enough!

Amazing and caring surgeon!
Dr. Beers is an exceptional surgeon, he spent as much time as we needed answering our questions, explaining everything in detail and reassuring us through every single up and down. He took every concern seriously and was caring throughout the whole process. He repaired my daughters heart defects and did a beautiful job with the incision. Everything is healing nicely and my daughter is thriving through her recovery after a tough hospital stay. Dr. Beers and his team fought for my daughter and gave her the best care, he was consistently confident and very reassuring. I could never say thank you enough for everything he and his team did for my baby and for us!

Thank You Dr. Beers!
I said thank you but thank you can’t even begin to describe our absolute gratitude and how grateful we are for Dr. Beers and his team. It felt like the walls were caving in when we found out about our daughter’s condition but Dr. Beers pretty much came to the rescue. The sheer amount of knowledge and professionalism that Dr. Beers has is astounding. Every detail was explained with no stone left unturned. From Pre-Surgery all the way to Post-Surgery Dr. Beers and his team have been there every step of the way and we couldn’t have been happier having them by our side through all of this.

Dr. Beers is a fantastic surgeon
Our son was born with a rare congenital heart defect that required open heart surgery to fix. Dr. Beers operated on him and did an exceptional job. Throughout the whole process, Dr. Beers and his team have been incredibly knowledgeable, confident, and comforting. I would recommend him to any parent of a child needing heart surgery. Dr Beers is exceptional
Dr Beers is exceptional. We took our 5 month old son to the ER for a respiratory infection and were shocked to learn he had a previously undiagnosed coarctation. We spent a week and a half in the ICU before surgery and he was with us every step of the way. He checked in with us frequently, patiently answered our questions, and spent an hour with us explaining our son’s condition and risks. He was confident in everything he explained, made it as easy to understand, and showed us compassion throughout the process. He meticulously weighed the risk vs benefit options for our son, conferring with the team at Orlando Health, and kept us involved in every step. He recommended the least invasive option for our son and the procedure was a success. There were some minor set backs in recovery, which were expected, and he was again with us every step of the way. We are beyond happy with the care we received at Orlando Health and forever grateful for him and the life saving work he does.

Amazing Surgeon
Our lives were truly changed by our Amazing Surgeon! He is soo informational, professional, understanding and down to earth! He explained everything from the beginning in great detail and made us feel soo comfortable with the surgery he would perform on our 4 month old daughter (Complete AV canal defect and PDA). After surgery we met with him to discuss how things went and it was like a huge weight lifted off our shoulders! He was very confident in his repair which made us feel amazing about it all. He told us what to expect during healing and visited our child daily while in recovery. Because he did such a phenomenal job our daughter was on the road to recovery and feeling sooo much better even the day after surgery. She looks amazing, feels great and as her parents we already see a HUGE difference in how she looks, acts and feels! We are truly thankful for what he did for our girl! I can not say enough Great things about him! If you need a surgeon he is the one you want!

AMAZING Surgeon
I have no words that can explain the gratitude I have to Dr. Beers and his NP Nicole Luchessi, they repaired a very large VSD that my son had with a open heart surgery. The attention, communication and empathy they had with us was incredible, they calmed our anxieties and worries. Without a doubt I would recommend Dr Beers, his team and Orlando Health with my eyes closed. THANK YOU for mending his heart! God bless you. P.SÑ He would have been an EXCELLENT plastic surgeon because his open heart surgery is not very noticeable.

Dr. Beers saved our baby! We love him
One of our twins was diagnosed with truncus arteriosis during my pregnancy and it was the scariest news. Meeting Dr. Beers for the first time, he was very genuine & explaining everything in true detail for us to understand. He was the only one giving us constant reassurance during this scary time. He walked us through the entire process from the minute my son was born to the surgery and exactly what to expect. He is very straightforward and confident. My son came out of surgery with a fixed heart, able to live a normal life and recovered so quickly it was truly a miracle. We felt like we could totally trust him, and we felt very confident he knew what he was doing. He has given us the biggest gift, fixing my sons heart and we couldn’t thank him enough. I think we will follow wherever he goes if he ever leaves Orlando because we love him so much! You are an amazing Dr!!! Highly highly recommend to anyone!
