My doctor referred me to Dr Desai after pain and an abnormal ultrasound of my leg. Dr Desai’s staff said the wouldn’t schedule an appt because there were any test results or diagnostic tests in my chart. I told them I just left the Drs office. They informed me that the Dr does not see patients with pain, he only sees surgical cases and I would need to go to my primary to get a full work up showing the diagnosis and need for surgery before o could make an appointment. They were very short and treated me like I was wasting their time.

One of the Least Helpful Doctors I've Encountered
By recommendation of our nurse practitioner, I saw Dr. Desai for vein pain and phlebitis follow up. I enjoyed his nurse's personality, but Dr Desai had almost none. He spent about 5-10 minutes interacting with me, hearing my symptoms, to which he replied, "Well, I'm not sure what you want me to do about this." I expressed desire to address leg pain and future phlebitis. He then ordered an expensive Doppler to ensure that there were no clots in my leg. About 7-8 days after the test, when I hadn't heard from him about follow up, I contacted his office asking about the "next step" to address vein pain and phlebitis. One of his nurses responded a day later with a generic set of directions pulled from some medical repository, to "wear compression hose" Which is what I'd already done for over a year. No other contact was made. His evaluation report did not accurately reflect my complaint, nor did it show the amount of time, or the ER report led me to seek help elsewhere.
