A very compassionate, strong, knowledgeable, and resilient psychiatrist. He took on a “beast of a patient” in myself while I was going through extreme anger and rage due to my stroke and schizoaffective disorder. He handled me basically by himself as the attending psychiatrist, with the help from staff of course. When he could have sent me to the county jail he stood by my side. That brings tears to my eyes and makes my heart weep with joy just thinking about it. What a great guy, psychiatrist, and a true master Avera Behavioral Health Hospital and clinic has. He is and always will be a great one in the Kingdom of Heaven. I’m glad I know him and his wife who also is a great one in the Kingdom as well. I send you both all my love, thoughts, and prayers as you two battle the wide, unrighteous, goats of the world in which I was, but Kent and his wife helped me through extreme thick and thin. They are forever in my heart, mind, and soul as well as the rest of his staff. Love, Mike S.
