Good doctor
Dr Wood is a good doctor! He takes the time he needs to talk to you and help you. The only problem I have is that you don't get calls back from his staff for test results. You have to call and get them yourself, and then you probably won't get a call back from that either. I had to make an appointment with him so I could get results of a test.

After moving from NC, I was hoping to find a great doctor. Dr Wood was recommended to me by a good friend. He said Dr. Wood has an amazing manner about him. I found that to be true. He had plenty of time for me, asking questions and making me comfortable. After I walked out, I decided he will be my doctor. What a relief. Thank you Dr. Wood.

Dr. Wood is supersmart, listens to patients, CARES about patients, excellent diagnostician, knows and refers to other good docs in town. The office is very busy and the folks who go to him are the folks who can tell the difference between a great doc, a good doc, and a HOW did he/she make it through med school doc. I am a very, very picky physician myself and have recommended Dr. Wood to many friends who have also been very happy with his care and caring.

Told my husband he probably had cancer. He was completely wrong and if he'd done a decent exam of him he would've known it was not cancer. We spent a terror-filled week due to his incompetence.

He takes time to listen rather than just push you out the door. He seems to work closely with my other doctors and keep each other informed. Something not often seen with other doctors I have dealt with over the years.

He seems knowledgeable but distracted. Does not follow through. His staff does not return calls, does not provide requested information, and manages personal information poorly.

I have been a patient for almost 10 years. I like Dr. Wood but it is hard to get a real person to answer the phone so that you can schedule an appointment or ask for a medicine refill. This is frustrating when you go to the office and there are 2-3 individuals in the receptionist area.
