Dr. Kenneth Goins, MD

I found Dr. Goins knowledgeable, attentive and caring, before and after surgery, but as my eyesight did not improve this changed and he didn't seem to want to be bothered. Most of the clinic's staff were immature, disrespectful and easily allowed their emotional state and/or feelings to interfere with their professionalism. As soon as a cornea surgeon began practicing near my home, I quickly changed over to him. A doctor can be the best there is but when the staff is intolerable it will result in a loss of patients.

I received great care from Dr. Goins at first but as time went on his staff acted like "snowflakes" and bullies, lied to the hospital complaint officer and refused to get a referral Dr. Goins ordered sent to another specialist for over a month. When I tried to contact Dr. Goins and let him know the referral had not been sent, I was told he doesn't talk to his patients outside of appts. I then asked for an appt and was told only he decides if an appt is needed and when. I contacted my health insurance company and they interceded on my behalf and got the referral sent. At that point I fired Dr. Goins and his unprofessional and incompetent staff.

Dr Goins and his staff took excellent care of both of my eyes. He was able to diagnose what was wrong and he fixed the problem. I was impressed when he actually used is phone and magnifying glass to take pictures and show me what was wrong, then he shared a video on how he was going to take care of the problem.
