Not going back again
Have been seeing Dr Etra for about three years. He is very to the point and unless you ask, doesn't explain terminologies he uses. The office used to be Pro Health now they are part of Brooklyn Allergy and Asthma group. Since then their service has gone downhill. The audiologist was not patient and did not explain properly what how the test was to be conducted. The front desk was less then cordial and forget about the billing, it's a mess because it comes through a different office. Very sad to see this practice go in this direction.

Stay away
This Doctor does not call back nor does he have concern for patients that are suffering. I’ve been trying to get in touch with him due to needing meds for almost a week and the office staff I spoke to said he is away at camp and doesn’t know what they’re doing. His patients clearly are NOT a priority. Don’t bother with the on call dr either during after hours because they won’t call you back and just make you wait until the next business day. I’ve never experienced such a difficult drs office before. Dr Etra also rushed my visit and didn’t listen to my concerns or symptoms. This place is the last drs office id recommend to anyone. I will be switching practices. Shame on you

terrible office!
I love Dr Etra! I’ve been a patient for over 12 years, I go regularly every 3 months. Recently there has been some sort of change and now it is impossible to speak with someone to make an appointment. I’ve been transferred around only to be sent to voicemail. Left numerous messages and then I actually spoke to an operator, she was making me a priority for a call back. Well, did you hear from them? Because I sure didn’t. IT IS JUST TERRIBLE! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME! AFTER 12+ YEARS I’VE MOVED ON TO A PRACTICE WHERE THEY ACTUALLY ANSWER THE PHONE AND ARE ABLE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. I’M SAD, BUT TOO BAD. Dr Etra, get your office in order. SHAME ON YOU!!!

I was recommended by Dr. Chao to see Dr. Etra regarding my swollen glands. I had a visit with the PA as I was unable to get an immediate appointment with Dr. Etra. I was told that the PA works under Etra and I should be in good hands. I was being seen because of swollen glands, fatigue, and sore throat. I was given steroids, acid reflex medication, and a soft tissue ultra sound. Ultra was conducted same day. When conferring with a doctor friend, he immediately told me that I don't need acid reflex medication. I was scheduled to see another ENT the following day who immediately diagnosed me with Thyroiditis . I was told to see an endocrinologist who had me do blood work. Thyroiditis was confirmed. To this date, I have not received a call from the PA about my ultra sound or updates on how I was doing.

Both Ken and his brother Richard Etra are excellent doctors. They are dedicated and care about their patients. I have been a patient of theirs for over 30 years. If you can secure an appointment and actually get in to see them rest assured they will take great care of you. Unfortunately their reception group leaves much to be desired and it has become very difficult to secure appointments even when is distress. I therefore have moved on to another practice. Very sad, I wish them both well.
