Let’s start by saying I went to visit his doctor with an entire folder of medical reports and tests that he did not even look at one of the biggest egotistical doctors I have ever met. Does not care about your concerns send you for testing that he tells you you don’t need And then when you get a positive result, they don’t get back to you because the doctor doesn’t have an answer because he doesn’t know how to deal with it so instead, he’ll just ignore you as a patient doctors like this are a reason why people end up with severe condition conditions just because you’re the head doctor of the Mayo Clinic does not make you a good doctor treating people and helping them and fixing their problem is what makes you a good doctor thousands of dollars I have spent at the Mayo Clinic and I got nowhere not even an answer on the message that showed a bad test do yourself a favor get a good New York City Manhattan Gastro, and don’t even bother going to the Mayo Clinic. Egotistic and cocky doctors.

Achalasia Treatment
Excellent experience ... He took time to thoroughly explain the history of the condition as well as provide options regarding my treatment plan. He performed several esophageal procedures as an option to invasive surgery. His honesty, patience, and thoroughness can not be understated. I would recommend his services especially as it relates to achalasia.

Expert in his Specialty. Hippocrates proud!
Dr Devault has been my GI physician for fourteen years. I have been diagnosed and treated with Barrett’s esophagus and multiple colon polyps over that time frame. This is one outstanding specialist. His experience, intellect (check his publications) coupled with his concern for patients is without equals! I live well at 78 thanks to him.

This doctor was SUCH a disappointment! Was referred to Mayo Clinic and chose Devault because he had 5 stars? Mistake! After 15 years of tests and issues, sent all the test results to his office, had a video conference and took several calls to reach back out to him. He responded with 2 sentences just verifying what we talked about and telling me about my past results -- which I already knew and did not offer any solutions and seemed very uninterested... don't waste your time. Huge disappointment for me in the Mayo Clinic as a whole.
