Very rude and unprofessional
My first visit was promising for my migraines but by follow up, he would not listen, wrote me off, basically said I was crazy due to my mental illnesses and that I needed to just live with the pain. Ignored that I had done everything he suggested like stopping all pain meds due to possible rebound headaches and just accused me of making things up and not doing what I said. Threatened me that if MRI showed nothing I was just out of luck. Was such a pompous jerk, did not listen and came in like a whirlwind and left same way. Would never recommend his guy and trying desperately to find another neurologist but limited due to lousy Henry Ford Hap insurance.

Positive and attentive
My husband has been a patient for over a year. With dementia it is hard to find the right neurologist who works with the whole patient and the caregiver. He does. After each visit we walk away knowing what we are dealing with and what can and cannot be done. Testing can be done in his office and this makes it easier than trying reschedule other appointments. Calling the office is easy with an immediate response, follow up and questions answered quickly.

Would give no stars if I could. This man was rude, unprofessional and did not listen to me and proceeded to give me tests that were not necessary to charge my insurance 1100.00. I have chemo induced neuropathy and he gave me no recommendations to help stated he had patients worse than me and on much more medication. That is exactly what a patient wants to hear NOT. STAY AWAY!!! Just look at his reviews how horrible. He is an example of a failing medical system.

Run, do not walk away from Dr. Botessi. After a year and a half of tests and physical therapy, I was told I have pinched nerves in lumbar spine. No MRIS were conducted even after my requests. Final comment “there is nothing more I can do for you. Contact UofM. They have access to better drugs.” I contacted another neurologist and we are in the process of recovery.

Dr. Bottesi has a terrific personality. He listens to what you have to say and he explains in detail your issues at hand. His office staff is quick to observe and write up orders at his instruction for diagnostics with the exception of EEGs where he provided that in office for me. I would definitely recommend Dr. Bottesi for any neurological issues.

Will not be returning. After nearly a decade I am leaving the practice and will not be back. Awful office staff and the doctor didn’t care when I escalated to him. Disappointing is the least I could say for this relationship.

My name is Phil Kaput and I have been a patient of Dr.Bottesi for Ten years. In 2010 I was diagnoised with Myasthenia Gravis. I was hospitalized in St. John Macomb 12 & Hoover Warren, MI for One Month. It was Dr. Bottesi that gave me hope. He shared his family life with me and he always kept me laughing with his great sense of humor. Dr. Bottesi has become like family to me, I trust him with my life and have the highest respect for him as a kind hearted, sincere person and Dr. He has been there to help me even when my primary care did not take the time to. I have been blessed to have such a wonderful Dr. in my life and he is the reason I am Alive today. With all my heart I thank you Dr. Bottesi and Staff!

I am so confused with the reviews I just saw a Mystery Diagnosis program and Dr Kenneth Botessi was the one able to help a patient, providing with the right diagnosis and treatment, reason why I started looking for his information, the reviews really shocks me. I don't know if I would like to take what will be a very painful trip from Florida. I am in confused mode ??

I went to him for headaches and he did two sessions of Botox. He also treated the twitching in my left eye with Botox. This is done very quickly and the second time he did the Botox in my eye it immediately started to bruise as he had hit a vein! I'm involved in a disability appeal and he refused to fill out the forms and do a narrative even after I paid for an office visit (I know his time is valuable) at which time he said he would fill them out and do a narrative for me.

Bedside manner is non-existent. Have little use for it myself. HOWEVER, after being discharged 2 weeks after my husband suffering a stroke, we left with more questions than answers. He was just as vague in the hospital. Office visit (No exaggeration) was less than 5 minutes and he said something as he walked down the hall to next patient. (???) The office staff is just as fly off the cuff as he is. They expect you should just know their office procedures.

Dr.Bottesi discharged me as a patient "effective immediately". He falsely accused me of lying to him about my treatment and pain for my Optic Neuritis. After he bounced me around to Ophthalmologists, and Kresge Eye Institute, I was TOLD to go back to Dr. Bottesi. Yes, I was in pain! It felt like someone was stabbing me in the eye with a knife! I needed help with my pain. He refused to help me knowing that I was suffering. What kind of doctor turns a patient away that needs help?

I went in with vestibular neuritis that was diagnosed by the E.R. at U of M. U of M said I should follow up with either the neurologist or ENT. Dr Bottesi heard me say vertigo, and immediately told me I needed vestibular therapy because I was a dizzy girl. I saw my ENT a few days later who said I should NOT start vestibular therapy for at least another month because I could aggravate my condition. Complete opposite advice, WITH an intelligent explanation. I won't see Dr. Bottesi ever again.
