They spent time finding the right combination of medications and made sure I was actually ok before releasing me. Don't settle for a doctor who doesn't continue testing, especially when no blood pressure medication they tried ever worked. Seek second and third opinions. Be your own advocate. Don't just settle when you were healthy and active prior to all of this. And if the doctor won't do the work and your life is sheer agony, move on. I am, and I couldn't be happier.

Dr. Hendon has an amazing bedside manner. She is very thorough and thinks outside of the box. She listens. She cares. She is open to my questions and suggestions. She is so helpful and spends as much time as is needed with you. I trust her implicitly. My only complaint is that one of her nurses when returning calls isn't great at answering questions or listening fully. I get a lot of I don't knows, and between appointments it makes communicating with the doctor hard.
