Dr. Kelsey Shnaekel, MD

The pharmacy accidentally voided my pain meds after my C-section. They had to call labor and delivery who in turn had to transfer them to Schnaekle (both the prescribing doctor and on call doctor). She went off and made the young girl at the pharmacy cry. They told me she was refusing the send the script again and told them they were “inconveniencing” her. I was there in pain and on the verge of tears healing from a c-section and uterine rupture. It was 5pm so it was not late and she was on call. There was no reason to act the way she did, it made me feel very low and like I didn’t matter. I really thought I was about to be sent home without my pain medication. It wasn’t until the pharmacist said they were documenting refusal and giving me a copy of it to take to my OB when they opened on Monday that they finally agreed to send my meds back in. I get that the pharmacy is at fault for voiding it, but don’t make me feel like I don’t matter. Refusing the send the meds would only hurt me.

I am so grateful to have found a younger Ob-Gyn I can develop a relationship with for the long term (hopefully)! After so many other great doctors at ObGyn Associates, and Dr. Fields retirement, I worried I'd never have a great doctor again! Enter Dr. Shnaekel! Patient, funny, professional, smart, and a good listener. I appreciate her and hope she stays here for good! Lol

I went in after a series of very irregular cycles among other issues, and the only thing she did was put me on birth control after I expressed not wanting to be on it. No exam, just vague questions.

Went to this doctor with specific concerns. Ultrasound done prior to meeting with doctor was normal, and I felt that she had already made up her mind that nothing was wrong despite multiple symptoms reported. I asked if blood work could be drawn to check hormones as this can help diagnosis a specific condition that I suspected. She said it wasn’t necessary, and that was about it. It is frustrating when you try so hard to be your own advocate but aren’t really given the chance by your own provider. She lacked empathy and concern. Told me everything was on a spectrum of normal and did not offer any further exploration of my symptoms. These symptoms do not feel normal. I will be seeking another opinion from another provider.
