Dr. Kelly Sponsler, MD

Scheduling took a while. I think Dr. Cunningham is knowledgeable, but I found her to be rude. My 2 year old was originally seen by her for an uncommon cyst. She was capable of the procedure, but we wanted it to be done in a Children's hospital for child specialized equipment and because doctors did this specific procedure on very young children more often. She was happy to refer, but our Children's hospital asked us to follow up locally for a simple incision check. This was to save hours of driving back to the Children's Hospital. She was very rude and made it clear during the appt that she was irritated. She basically stepped in the door, told him to look up to see it, and refused to answer questions about using something to minimize scarring-saying that I should ask his surgeon. This is my child, and I was going to do what I felt was best for him by taking him to the Children's hospital for the procedure. If she didn't want to do the follow up, she should have refused the appt.
