He basically almost killed me........
While performing a Hiatal Hernia surgery in 2014. During the surgery not only did he damage the nerves on my stomach paralyzing my stomach, but he paralyzed my right lung also. Then I had 2 pulmonary embolisms during recovery. I was in extreme pain for over a month while I was in the hospital. It took a couple years before the lung and stomach paralysis was diagnosed. This was the worst surgery I've ever had and I've gone through 23 surgeries in my life.

Horrible
My experience with Dr. Keith Scharf was horrible. He is disrespectful, arrogant, and fake. he is the worst physician I have seen at Loma Linda. He is aloof, and does not make the patients feel comfortable, he adds to their anxiety and does not listen to what they have to say. He does not provide information or explanation about the illness. He seems that he wants to get rid of patients more than helping them. He made me feel uncomfortable with his nauseating attitude. It was a waste of money and time to go and see this person.

Dr. Scharf performed my gastric bypass surgery almost 3 years ago. He is an excellent surgeon with a great bedside manner. He truly makes you feel at ease and as though you are in the best hands possible throughout the surgical process. He has been very thorough when conducting all of my follow up appointments and is on top of the necessary blood work following bariatric surgery. So many other facilities performing bariatric surgery simply drop their patients Dr. Scharf follows through.
