Dr. Keith Merlin, MD

Where to start. I have never written a review for anything, but if I help someone from not going through the pain I did seeing Dr. Merlin then I would be very relieved. I saw him for about a year, had to have an unnecessary surgery because of a mistake he made during the first surgery (DNC after miscarriage). Still dealing with trauma and seeking therapy for the entire experience. He made me feel completely rushed out of the room each time I saw him multiple times after and before my miscarriage. He would cut me off whenever I asked any questions and left me in tears many times. When I was worried because I was originally having a lot of yeast infections he told me I needed to stop shaving (when the reality was that I needed another surgery and could have died from infection). He had zero bedside manner and any time I had any questions he was not helpful at all. He made an already difficult experience absolutely horrible. Do yourself a favor and find another OBGYN.

Dr Merlin was exceptional for the birth of my daughter. It is clear that he truly cares for his patients and wants to ensure a healthy delivery. Even as my regular OB I really appreciate that he’s willing to perform tests just to be on the safe side and I feel that he is as much as an advocate for me as I am for myself. I have heard wonderful things about all of the doctors in his office so you’re always in good hands. I have and will continue to recommend his practice.

I saw Dr Merlin on an emergency. My ob/gyn had left and I’m hadn’t found a new one. He was reassuring, explained everything in terms I could understand. He didn’t rush me and answered all my questions.Best ob/gyn I have had.

Dr. Merlin was wonderful. He accepted me for an urgent appointment when my planned appointment with another doctor was cancelled at the last minute. He has a very reassuring manner and is very patient. I felt blessed that I ended up with him as my OB. This was over 10 years ago and I would have definitely kept him as my OB but I moved away.

Dr. Merlin was referred to me by my primary, Dr.Florio. My GYN had relocated out of state. He has been by far one of the best Doctors I've had. Never rushing into decisions for treatment or surgical procedures without researching, taking the time to sit with me and discuss options and do what is best for me as an individual patient. Very easy to speak with, and personally returns calls. Couldn't be happier!!
