Difficult to work with
Telehealth
As others have said, she ignores patient requests when symptoms don't 'match' labs, though in my case, they were very consistent and I had to ask for medication from my PCP to get the proper dosage. I had a question for her about another treatment I need for a different condition, and she had no idea what I was talking about (not even willing to Google it during the visit). As a result, I had a setback in that treatment. I agree with others who have stated that she takes a long time to get back to patients and often it is not she herself but one of the staff. I like the practice but will be changing physicians.

Most compassionate and thorough professional
Dr. Seetharaman is a doctor par excellence . I an not a young patient and there is a lot going on, she was patient , compassionate and extremely knowledgeable and I left her feeling inspired to take better care of myself and assured that I was in the best hands. She is truly exemplary and one of the best doctors I have ever had . This was an in person appointment.Thank you Dr. Seetharaman.

Labs only
Dr. Seetharaman is effective at managing hashimotos if your symptoms align perfectly to labs. If your labs say one thing, but symptoms another...then there seems to be a huge uphill battle to get her to listen. All my concerns were disregarded. In addition, as someone else mentioned, there is a huge level of distrust here. She assumed b/c I am obese that I am stuffing my face constantly. I mentioned multiple times that I was limiting my calories to 1200 and still was not losing weight at which point she suggested I try 800 calories per day. This was the last straw for me as I cannot understand how any physician anywhere would ever suggest such a thing. Overall, got medications that I needed to help manage the disease but nothing was done to help treat my symptoms except assume I am lying about my day to day. Additionally, if you do not want to take the gastric bypass option, you are largely dismissed. No pun intended.

I felt like my concerns were disregarded. Specific blood tests I requested were disregarded and I felt she was trying to catch me in a lie by asking me the same questions about when/how i take my medicine numerous times. Instead of making me feel like she's an advocate for my health, I left the office upset and feeling like it's my fault something is wrong. Follow up is poor and slow, I've called twice to get results she told me she would have four days ago.
