Very Unprofessional
Patel is only 'professional' by her title. My 78-year-old mother is in the hospital after hip replacement surgery. She's been waiting for United's approval to go straight to short-term rehab. Initially, the insurance was denied, but we appealed because of the orthopedic recommendations for inpatient treatment and my mom's living situationDr. Patel walked into the room for the first time. My mom had been in the hospital for 7 days and was seen by another professional; DR. Dr. Patel told us there was no reason for my mom to appeal to in-patient rehab or stay in the hospital. She didn't introduce herself, she did not check my mother, and she did not care about the orthopedics' recommendation. She made an unprofessional judgment, stating that our concerns about my mom were more of a 'social' lifestyle concern. Dr. Patel's judgmental behavior was unprofessional, selective, discriminatory, and not medical-related We filed a formal complaint, and other professionals witnessed what happened.

This review is late partly because I forgot to do it and wanted to make an appt for a follow up and found out she was gone! But she was always caring and compassionate and I hope she will be back

I’ve never met a more personable doctor who had the ability to treat every visit like a conversation among friends rather than a rushed, no eye contact encounter. She takes the time to get to know you, not just your list of symptoms, and can recall details from previous visits to give a truly holistic approach to care. Highly recommendable!
