Dr. Katrina Ressler, DO

I was very happy with my visit to Dr. Ressler. She was both thorough and efficient. She treated me kindly and listened carefully. She asked questions I have never been asked by any medical professional. She even personally called me back with lab results. The facility itself was impressive, and my wait time was minimal. Overall, I was very pleased with an experience that is generally difficult.

I was assigned to Dr Ressler after my gyno retired, which was a horrible mistake. After meeting with her for a new patient consult and explaining my symptoms… she put me on the same birth control which I was high risk for blood clots from taking (which she was told). She also informed me that woman with PCOS gain weight because of their “bad diets” (she said worse but this platform is flagging those words) and not because of the actual insulin resistance it causes. I was appalled that this woman is caring for woman’s health with such lack of care. Thankfully I advocated for myself to be seen by another Dr at hawthorn and was informed that the birth control I was on previously (the one she prescribed me again, even though I went there specifically to get a new one) would be a horrible choice for me. Needless to say, an appointment with her was an absolute waste of time. And I hope if you’re assigned her, you get a second opinion.
