I recently had the privilege of undergoing a robotic surgery performed by Dr. Katie Wakeley, a specialist in gynecologic oncology. From the moment I stepped into the hospital, I felt reassured and confident in the care I was about to receive. Dr. Wakeley exhibited an unparalleled level of expertise and compassion. The precision and skill with which the surgery was conducted were evident in my swift recovery and the absence of post-operative pain. The use of robotic technology was impressive, and it was clear that Dr. Wakeley is at the forefront of medical advancements in this field.What stood out the most was the personal attention and genuine care I received. Dr. Wakeley took the time to explain every step of the procedure, answer all my questions, and alleviate my concerns. The entire surgical team was professional, attentive, and supportive, making the experience as comfortable as possible. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Wakeley for the exceptional surgical skills.

Awesome Doctor
Dr. Wakely is very thorough, which I appreciate, because I have a very unusual condition. I have a blood clotting condition, as well as a gynecological issue. Dr. Wakely will perform surgery on me,.... only if it is a dire emergency, due to my clotting issue. I am glad for that.

Dr Wakeley was wonderful. You never want to need an oncology OB but even in a dire situation, Dr Wakeley made us feel confident in her care every step of the way. She listened to our many questions, answered them thoroughly and in terms we could understand, and was always responsive to our needs. She’s a wonderful physician. Everyone on Dr Wakeley’s team is wonderful and caring, particularly her NP Rosemary.

Dr. Wakeley is one of the best - if not the best - surgeon in Boston. She is a wonderful mix of someone who knows her stuff and someone you would want as a friend. I would follow her to any hospital in the country, but the fact that she is at South Shore Hospital and her patients get the care of the top notch team on Emerson 6 is icing on the cake. Everyone in her office is kind, compassionate, and professional. You couldn't find a better doctor!
