Dr. Kathryn Gard, MD

I can't say enough about Dr. Gard and what a caring doctor she is. She has been nothing but kind, professional and empathetic. She never makes me feel rushed and answers all of my questions thoroughly. Almost all of my friends in the area go to her, and I will recommend her to anyone who is not already under her care.

I love Doctor Gard! She delivered both my babies and created an environment that allowed me to have the birth experience I desired. She is very down to earth and easy to talk to. I recommend all my friends to her and they have had great experiences too!

Dr. Gard has been nothing but absolutely wonderful. She is so kind and caring. I never found her to be rushed, though I know she has a full plate. She ALWAYS sits down and listens to my concerns. While I generally dread doctor's appointments, especially at the OBGYN, it is so nice to see her and is like catching up with a friend.

Dr. Gard is AMAZING! These reviews do not do her justice!! The office is always busy with patients walking in to see Dr. Gard (so that’s saying something). And when I first moved to Sarasota, I was referred to her by several people. I ended up choosing her and I couldn’t be happier with my experience throughout my pregnancy and my delivery!! She is always patient, personable, knowledgeable, and always made me feel incredibly comfortable. I can’t imagine my delivery without her support. Thanks Dr Gard!

I have never known a doctor so disrespectful towards her patients. Dr Gard has absolutely no bedside manners. She could care less about you. I felt like I was an imposition to her during my appointment (THAT SHE WAS GETTING GENEROUSLY PAID FOR), oh and by the way she wasn’t even there for my scheduled appointment (after I had driven all the way there) then I had to return again for my rescheduled appointment ON HER SCHEDULE but did she even acknowledge this? She showed no consideration for the inconvenience she imposed on me and instead displayed arrogance and total lack of compassion. She had no interest in me or my health and spent a total of 4 minutes in the exam room and discounted my concerns and even had the audacity to threaten to drop me as her patient if I didn’t like “her” way! Well guess what? I dropped her like a HOT potato! What gives her the right to treat loyal patients this way? I’ve been loyal to this practice long before she even knew how to spell “gynecologist”

She is soon to deliver my third baby and has deliver my other two. She is amazing, and had great bedside manner! Cannot recommend her enough!

Was charged $151 for an office visit on top of the ultrasound fee even though when I made the appointment I said I did not need to speak to the Doctor after a fibroid ultrasound. There was nothing for her to tell me or advise me on. Just a way for them to make a quick dollar on a five minute discussion. They charged me for the ultrasound the day of, but sent me a bill later for the "office visit"

I am an older woman and found Dr Gard to be incredibly knowledgeable and very personable. I would recommend Dr Gard to anyone who needs a gynecologist who makes time for you.

What can I say? I don’t think I can find the right words. Dr Gard is awesome. She was professional, caring, thorough and above all else, she took the time to listen to me.

Katheryn Gard is the best doctor I've ever seen! She's a straight shooter, caring, funny and whip-smart. My mom even started seeing her and loves her as much as I do. I'm in shock that she received one star from anyone.... I highly recommend and trust her.

Awful OB, bad bed side manner and doesn't answer questions. belittles her patients. I don't know what qualifies her to be an expert, when she's only been a doctor for a year!! she should maybe think about going back to teaching (;

It was a very disappointed visit since I went on reviews. It is my first pregnancy and felt disrespected at first visit. I went again just to make sure Dr. Gard wasn't having a stressful day that day , but encountered same impression. I would not recommend any new mothers to go. I switched doctors and very happy with my decision.

Dr. Gard and her team are absolutely fantastic. I've been seeing her for about 6 months. She is always very kind, compassionate and a great listener. I never have to wait long for an appointment, and I am usually seen within 10 minutes of arriving for my appointment. Her team is very attentive and responsive to my calls and questions. I cannot more highly recommend Dr. Gard.

Dr Gard is AMAZING!!! She is smart, communicates well, listens well, and most important-cares for her patients well! She helped me through a miscarriage and a successful pregnancy and I simply feel blessed to have her as my doctor!!
