I visited Dr. Baker twice. I’ve been thinking about writing a review for months, and finally have the motivation to do so after reading Sheila’s review.Dr. Baker also made me feel so bad about myself. I’ve had chronic pain and fatigue beyond belief for over 20 years. She looked at my results and said “everyone I see here is tired”. I left feeling so discouraged and not sure what to do. I’ve felt horrible for months. I was taking 3-4 hour naps after work. I was also extremely iron deficient. She looked at my results and said everything was fine. I started seeing a naturopathic doctor that made better recommendations than Dr. Baker did.She does not appear to care about her patients and tries to down play their symptoms.

She made me feel so bad about myself
This is not the place to go if you are ill and need help with symptoms that could be rheumatological. She did not ask questions about my health, my rashes, the blood in my urine, the exertion fatigue and the weird tingling that started in my feet. It took 6 months to get what she called a routine follow up but the lack of care bought me an ER visit after a few days of sun down in San Diego. Came back with a mouth full of sores, new hypertension, and a suspected lupus. I don't care if it gets treated. I cannot take doctors that make me feel so bad about myself I want to crawl in a hole. That is her.

After having a horrible first visit with a different rheumatologist, I was a little hesitant to see another one, but a co-worker I trust who had a similar experience the first time recommended Dr. Baker to me, and I am SO glad she did! Hands-down, Dr. Baker is one of the best physicians I've seen. I really liked that she is a DO because I know they tend to have more of a holistic approach to treatment. I really felt like Dr. Baker knew what she was talking about, explained everything at a level someone without a medical degree could understand, truly listened to me and asked great follow up questions that not only showed she was listening, but brought to light symptoms I never would have thought to bring up otherwise. All in all, it was a fantastic experience and I'm looking forward to continuing to receive care from Dr. Baker and her staff!

I haven't been able to make an appointment. The office staff is horrible. I've been on-hold and playing phone tag all day with no resolution or response.

I have been seeing Dr. Baker for 10+ years. I travel an hour because she is the most caring compassionate Doctor I have ever been treated by. She listens attentively and seeks to find a care plan that is suitable for the doctor and the patient. The staff is very professional and efficient. Many doctors could learn a lot about "bedside manners" and treating the whole patient from Dr. Baker.

The ER doctor I saw thought I could be having a flare up. They wanted me to see my rheumatologist asap. I called next day to get an appointment; I was told there weren't any until Feb next year . I explained my situation & what the doctor at the ER said. I was transferred to her team to leave a message. I left a message before 3pm and never got a call back that day like I was supposed to. The recording said if you leave your message before 3pm you get a call back the same day.
