So thankful for Dr. Punger - she's the best!
The best General Practice Doctor I've ever been to. She listened patiently, in a caring way, and provided spot on feedback and suggestions / diagnoses that no one else had been able to provide over the course of three years. She is multifaceted in her knowledge and took a well informed approach, giving me an accurate diagnosis that no emergency room, urgent care or a variety of other specialists had been able to provide. So thankful for Dr. Punger!

Condescending. No empathy
I’m a resident physician who initially saw her for laryngitis and URI symptoms, which she dismissed as a viral URI. After a week of worsening symptoms, I contacted her again asking if this could be a bacterial infection. She told me to come in that day for an appointment, which cost $87. After a 5 min history and physical, she told me she felt this was a viral infection. She then proceeded to tell me that in Medicine residency programs and back in her day, residents were expected to work through these “colds” and I should be expected to work through this as well. And if she was my co-resident covering for me, she would be upset that I wasn’t working. She has no empathy and should be ashamed to call herself a physician. Regardless of not wanting to prescribe an antibiotic, her condescending behavior is uncalled for.

Went to Dr. Punger for 4 yrs. I had been sick with allergies and brochitis, coughing up sputum, not sleeping well, and feeling bad. She refused to prescribe antibiotics, said she wouldn't be part of the "abuse of antibiotics" (I had NEVER asked for one before). I was sick for 2 more months after leaving her office. I had a GFR score that was elevated while I was under her care, but she never mentioned it. I found it after I was with another dr. She took me off the blood pressure meds my cardiologist had me on. He was not happy about it, and put me back on. I felt enough slip ups were time for me to go.
