Dr Leahy, Should have said this sooner
I haven’t said anything til now, wish I had sooner but at least I’m catching up now. I see other comments similar to mine. Talks over her patients, rude, gets facts mixed up, have to repeat yourself, questions reports of other medical professionals repeatedly with answers only the reporting medical professionals can answer, condescending, and like others here, stated late for the appointment with no apology. Is she moody, or is she tired of her job, judgmental toward people, minimal eye contact. Hope you find someone better too if you’re a prospective client. Someday someone is going to report her to the NH Medical Board for her medical errors too.

Elbow injury
Friendly staff in Amherst NH. Dct Leahy asked how the injury happened, checked my mobility or lack of, my level of pain. She took the time to analyze the cause and source of my problem. After a thorough examination she started gentle manipulations of my arm, wrist elbow and shoulder. After quite a long time I felt a little pop that immediately made me more comfortable and reduce the pain. She really took the time for me. I never felt rush. She was patient and gentle and explained what she was doing and why. 5 days after my visit my movements are much better and the level of pain has been reduced to almost nothing. I have a sprain and have follow up appointment. Very satisfied of the fist visit and very confident to go back.

Very helpful.
I saw her for a severe herniated disc in my neck and degenerative disease in my lower spine. She is very direct, professional, and practical, yet approachable and warm. She asks probing questions about what physical activities are bothersome and what are not. She was also very hands on, moving my body in different ways to determine alignment. We discussed options for treatment. I have already recommended her to a friend. BTW, I am a nurse.

Save your time money and brain power
Kathleen lied about helping my back to make herself look better. I have proof and will show you, I'm not a competing doctor trying to take business. I said my back hurts after cooking for a few hours and she said what takes hours to cook trying to press me like I’m lying I said there’s plenty of things like you really want to argue right now about this not everyone microwaves tv dinners like you Karen. Always do your research don’t just take a doctors recommendation.

Very happy with my experience!
Dr Leahy is direct and to the point, which others might have characterized as rude, but I did not find that at all. She listened carefully to my concerns and offered more than one option for treatment. With her help I eliminated a great deal of my symptoms and was best prepared for an upcoming surgery. As patients we don’t always like what we hear (you have to do a lot of work yourself and can’t depend on the doctor to provide you with an instant cure) and I’m sure some discontented patients fall into that category. I highly recommend Dr Leahy and so did my surgeon, who initially recommended I see her.

If the above people are speaking of Kathleen Leahy physiatrist in Bedford N.H. my experience was completely different. I was referred to Dr Leahy by my surgeon who felt she was the one I needed to see for the severe pain I have suffered for years. I did look at her reviews but felt I would form my own opinion of her. She was lovely , kind , attentive , she listened , was sympathetic and patient as the pain I have been in I could barely tolerate anymore. The key that showed me she knows her stuff and cares is that she pointed something out that I saw and no other physician got and before I even mentioned it she said it. I wanted to cry. Not all first impressions might be great , we all have tough days and doctors aren’t perfect so instead maybe of posting a negative review share your feelings with your Doctor and see what happens. I’m grateful Dr Leahy best yet for the first time in a long time I’m HOPEFUL. EME londonderry

Dr. Leahy was very rude during Assessment. I have two bulged discs in my Thoracic and when the pain gets bad I cannot move my head. Dr. Leahy told me straight to my face that she “doesn’t see what could cause so much pain”. Told me I need to work out, offers no sort of therapeutic treatment. Also, staff took my blood pressure, that was high due to being in pain, and then said it’s because I’m nervous. I explained very clearly to the young undergraduate that I am surly not nervous. Avoid her!!!!!

I went to see Dr. Lahey for an appointment and she was 45 minutes late with no apology. She was rude throughout the very short time we were together. I would never recommend her, to anyone!

Dr Leahy is very rude and condescending. Did not listen to anything I said or even to my answers to her questions. Barely examined me and wasn't able to tell me what she saw on my MRI. Couldn't tell me what was wrong with my shoulder. She did one little manipulation on me and I left there in more pain then I had when I got there. I felt like she had no idea what she was doing. The only nice person there was the receptionist.
