No examination
Didn’t examine me at all. Doesn’t listen. Stares at her laptop the whole time.

Terrible
I only went to her twice and can definitely confirm she is by far one of the worst so called doctor that I’ve have been seen by. She took me off my med that had been prescribed by my last rheumatologist and the only reason I changed was do to insurance. My symptoms got worse and on my second appointment I informed her of this and said I was wrong for returning to the medication even though it was clear it was helping. She doesn’t listen, is rude, fails to make eye contact. She has 0 empathy and only wants to refer people out and not treat anything. I would give her negative stars. Avoid this woman at all costs.

Dismissed my symptoms
She immediately put me on (medication name redacted per HealthGrades standards) and when the medication side effects started, she dismissed them as not her issue. I started (medication name redacted per HealthGrades standards) January 8. Within 3 weeks I had gained 10 pounds with no diet change and started swelling with water retention. When I called to see if I should repeat the kidney function labs, she said no and to contact my primary as water retention is not a side effect of (medication name redacted per HealthGrades standards) (kidney failure is). She ignored my previous diagnosis of Preeclampsia with my first born and past proof of kidney issues. I have switched drs for my RA because of the lack of care.

I love her!
Began seeing her almost a year ago, she rapidly diagnosed me and immediately got me out of pain, have seen her multiple times to follow up as significant complications could be associated with my diagnosis. Honesty, could not have asked for a better care provider or better outcome for what could have been a difficult diagnosis.

Minimal listening skills, dismissive, poor evaluation and uninterested in diagnosing. Communication skills nonexistant. Quick to offer a behavioral health referral. Obvious s/s. Patient hospitalized, hospitalist and nephrologist addressed what she did not. Would not refer anyone to this physician.

She listened to me while staring at her computer screen, offered no physical exam and downplayed my symptoms. Even told me that I don't need to be monitored or repeat blood work. Felt very dismissed and the visit was a waste of my time. Do not go to her!

I saw her a total of two times and knew at the first visit that I wasn't happy with her and that she wasn't going to take the time to listen to me, or think about how she could help me. She was so uninterested and unempathetic. She barely asked any questions and I appeared a burdened to her. When I questioned her plan of care, which was nothing (only taking away medications), she told me I could get a second opinion if I wasn't happy. I cried at my second visit because I was so overwhelmed with my symptoms and disease progression and she told me that I was depressed and she could send me to the ER for evaluation of my depression. As someone in their 20s knowing that I have to deal with this for the rest of my life, this is not someone who can help me now or long term. I am also speaking as someone who has worked with doctors and had many excellent doctors. I was extremely disappointed and wish I would have checked the reviews before my visit.

First visit was to show her results of X-ray done at Wash U department of Othopedics. Stated I had acromiclovicular osteoporosis in my right shoulder. Made another appt for series of tests. Was told that results were fine and that there wasn’t anything she could do and told me to stay in touch with my primary Dr. I am bothered with pain in my shoulders and now in my hip (have arthritis from X-ray) I would not recommend a visit to her. She seemed to care less about helping unless it was something major. You need to read other reviews on her, I didn’t until after my visits.

She told me that she “...can just tell by looking at you that you have RA”. She also said, “just google VanGoh and look at his hands because that’s how yours are going to look unless you take some ‘real’ RA medicine”. She smiled, without ceasing, regarding my diagnosis, predictions, etc”. She is, One very discouraging physician. She also said that I would’ve faired much better had I started treating this diagnosis much sooner, that I would’ve had a better prognosis. Most cruel, discouraging doc I’ve ever been to—- actually seemed thrilled that I had this disease!! I told her I’ve been on a nearly “grass clippings” type plant based diet and she discouraged that by saying that with my aggressive disease process it doesn’t help anyway and neither does CBD oil, etc. if there were an option of giving her a “0” rating versus a 1 star rating I would’ve. I cried hopelessly after the appt. feeling soooo depressed after the appt and I made my feelings so vulnerable to her. ??

Dr Temprano had been wonderful. Dermatologist have always been hesitant to listen to my concerns. After being referred to her I feel for the first time that I was being included in treatment decisions and that someone was listening to my complaints and concerns.

Dr. Temprano makes you feel rushed and she doesn't listen. I wouldn't recommend her as a rheumatologist. If you need her to think or use her brain - then I would definitely avoid. Very by the books so if you're not textbook find someone else to see.

Avoid SLUcare at ALL COSTS. The doctors are either so overloaded that they don't have time to care or they really just don't care. A three month wait time for a check up? A SIX month wait time for a new patient appointment? If you're looking for a rheumatologist, and have all the time in the world to deal with this system, you've found the right place. She and the staff are very nice, but they don't really listen.
