Nice Doctor, Horrific Staff
While Dr. Pesce herself is very nice & knowledgeable, her office staff leaves a lot to be desired. I guess with the long wait times & having an 'in demand' Doctor, they feel that they can treat everyone poorly because they know they've got you. From demanding up front payment (regardless of insurance & showing that they are significantly overcharging - good luck getting a refund!), condescending attitude and general rudeness, I would not recommend going to Dr. Pesce - it just isn't worth the hassle and wait.

Not respectful of my time.
Called for appt and staff was polite, but not friendly. Was warned that they make no reminder calls. At visit, they took my name, etc., then I paid the copay. THEN they couldn't find my primary doctor (this was a referral!). After an hour, I was told there was still another patient in front of me! I asked if it was normal, they said it often was. I asked why nobody told me when I called or when I walked in. They offered a reschedule for about 6 weeks away, but said I should come early. I said, "you are saying *I* should come early?!" I told them to cancel me and I would find someone who better respected my time. The reception person did apologize. Another patient in the waiting room said to me as I left, "you always have to figure 2 hours." I replied, "Then they should tell us that at some point. How was I supposed to know that?" Plus, I had a 25-min drive to get there, so 2 hours wasted of my time. So disrespectful.

Very Caring
My experience with Dr. Katherine Pesce, as well as her father, was a very gratifying one. They are honest and informative. Their knowledge of dermatology is very helpful. I left the office feeling well-informed and satisfied with my examinations on various visits.

The staff was kind. I only waited about 10 minutes in the waiting room (with one other patient) and then about another 10/15 minutes in the exam room for Dr Pesce. From the moment she entered, her warm and friendly nature put me at ease. And that’s saying something...if you’ve ever been to a doc for “mole patrol”, you know what a vulnerable position you’re in! She took her time and explained things thoroughly, answering all of my questions. Would definitely recommend her to family and friends.

George Burns was fond of saying that one of the most important things in life is sincerity. Once you learn how to fake this, you have it made. This is definitely not the case with Dr.Pesce. She took a genuine interest in the problem that I had with my arm, explained what she was doing, and exhibited a very friendly and concerned demeanor. I had a very good experience with the office staff and waited just ten minutes from my appointment time to see Dr.Pesce. She also called me in the evening two days later, I believe from her home, with my biopsy result. I had never in my 77 years received an evening call from a doctor.

Dr. Pesce is a well qualified dermatologist but to be honest, even though I went there for a refill of my meds, I ended up feeling like I had a session with my therapist. Dr. Pesce asked how I was doing and listened as I explained to her the anxiety and concern I was feeling with everything going on with the coronavirus scare. She was attentive and offered advice on how to handle things. She is a wonderful inspiration to keep calm amidst the chaos. I felt better when I left her office. Her staff is amazing and kind. I don't care about the wait....it's worth it. Keep it up Dr. Pesce!!!

The long wait in a small dirty office is not worth it. No CDC guidelines being followed our visit yesterday. Too many people waiting for too long in a very small carpeted space. Someone coughing and nothing done by the staff. No worry about my 78-year-old mother getting coronavirus. Business as usual during a time when new guidelines should have been implemented - but it sounds like from other reviews that our almost 2 hour wait is normal so this office isn't going to have concern for patients.

Absolutely the best, if you wait then that proves she is the most highly sought after doctor; and the reason you may have to wait is that she genuinely cares about each one of her patience. So when it's your turn you get nothing short of 100% of that woman's attention, an absolute blessing to the medical profession!

I like Dr. Pesce very much. However, the wait time is RIDICULOUS. Once i waited 2 hours and was still noy the next person so i rescheduled for a morning appt. Normally go at 9:30. At this point the office had only been open an hour or so and i still wait for a good hour!! Very over booked office. Its not right.

Dr Pesce is very kind and knowledgeable. She takes time with each patient to explain what she is doing and why. And what she thinks the problems are. I have gone to her for many years and I do tell my friends and family that are looking for a dermatologist about her and her dad.

I agree with other reviewers as to the staff and wait, however, Dr. Pesce is well worth the inconvenience. She thoroughly explains everything and you are never rushed. She has also helped out with getting medicines at reduced prices. I have met with her father once, and he was also excellent.

I agree with most reviewers. Katherine Pesce herself is a good doctor and I have no complaints about her, but average wait time in that office is always long. I went for an apt the other day and after waiting 45 min, went and asked how much longer it would be and was told possibly another 30-45 min. The office staff has no idea and takes no accountability- not even an apology. I walked out.

The doctors know what they are doing, HOWEVER I will never again bring my business here due to the fact that they kept me waiting OVER AN HOUR for my appointment. This is extremely unprofessional and downright rude. Please don't even bother and take your business elsewhere because these people do not respect their clients time and this is a sign of downright disrespect.

Hello, This is Iftikhar Dr. Katherine Pesce is one of the best doctors, I have ever met. I visited her 9th March,2017 and she was very nice and helpful. She examined my skin disease very friendly manner and gave me proper medicine which will be covered by my insurance company. In addition, she gave some free medicine as part of her good will. I am satisfied by her treatment process. However, I found her receptionist unfriendly but except her everyone was very good.

Dr. Pesce comes to my place of employment each year to do skin cancer screening days and I've seen her twice and really liked her. This year, I was out on maternity leave when she came so I figured I'd make an appointment at her office. I made an appointment 1-2 months in advance and was told to pay $100 up front (even though my insurance says NOT to do that) , and upon arrival the staff had no record of me. There was no apology, no "Hey! Our bad!" Dr. Pesce as a person: great. Office:awful
