Dr. Katherine Dent, MD

Dr Dent takes her practice and her relationship to her patients very seriously. She helped me through some very difficult years and managing problems without easy or obvious answers and helped me build self esteem slowly over time. That led to a much more manageable relationship to anxiety, depression, attention, and medication. I can't imagine what the bad reviewers here are thinking. People come to therapy with different expectations. In my view, a psychiatrist should offer a different, therapeutic perspective, not be some paid best friend or cheerleader.

I have been seeing DR Dent for 3years now. We started remotely via phone and it has been wonderful. She is very punctual and also it is easy to change appointments last minute due to work schedule. She is very patient , kind and a great listener. She has helped control my stress levels to the point my Auto-immune disease is under control. It has been helpful for my overall health. She asked about work, life and health issues and really understands her patients with kids. She is very empathetic and really compassionate for a doctor. I highly recommend her.

Absolutely the worst experience I ever had with a psychiatrist. She is condescending and insulting. After describing my visits with her no fewer than three other doctors they strongly advised me to stop seeing her.

She is the worst therapist I've ever seen. She basically accused me of lying about my condition and wasn't helpful at all. What kind of therapist says rude things to you and thinks it alright? Her facial expressions were disgusting towards me and I never felt comfortable. Waste of my money and time. AVOID HER!! There are much better people out there who will actually help you and not judge and question you like "doctor" dent just did with me. Unbelievably horrible experience.
