Shoulder Surgery
Each time visiting Dr. Coyner, I felt like she did not have a lot of time for me and was extremely quick with moving things in one direction without considering other possibilities. Barely heard about risks and complications. Day of surgery she let me know that the pain radiating down my arm was not from the shoulder tear and that won’t be fixed today. She made me feel very overwhelmed and upset when she said she “had told me this numerous times”. I would have not done the same path if I knew the shoulder surgery wasn’t going to fix the majority of the pain I was having.

Dr. Coyner is an exceedingly empathetic intensely patient listener who very clearly presents the likely outcomes of divergent protocols. She retains minute details of conversation and expresses these in her concisely complete informative written reports. Her entire staff is cordial, accessible, prompt and accommodating. My experience WAS NOT NEARLY PERFECT - IT WAS PERFECT!

I had a very bad tear in my right meniscus, and after trying several weeks of home PT, I went to see Dr. Coyner. She ordered a MRI, which showed a bucket handle tear. She recommended surgery, and I was very concerned that my knee would not ever be 100%. She explained everything to me, and laid out the entire recovery period. And I am so pleased with the outcome. The timeline was almost exactly as she laid out (actually a little better), and within 4 months I was back to running several miles a week, and after 6 months I am back to running 25-30 miles a week and my knee is back 100%! I could not be happier with Dr. Coyner and her entire staff. From my initial visit through all of my follow up visits, I always felt like they truly cared about me and my full recovery.

Dr. Coyner performed a knee arthroscopy on me back in March of 2020. She and her entire staff have been truly amazing before, during, and after the surgery. She provided more than enough information for the pre-surgery requirements as well as post-surgery rehab and recovery. The appointments with her were always top-notch and she was always available if I had any questions or concerns. I would highly recommend her to anyone that has any sort of sport-related injury.

Dr. COYNER saw me very quickly and completed the surgery to repair my badly broken clavicle within a week of that. She helped me weigh the tx options and likely outcomes. There have been no complications and it has healed as she predicted. She took into consideration that I wear a backpack of some type during many recreational activities, placing the plate accordingly. Karolina was super nice and very responsive to any questions I had, quickly consulting Dr. COYNER and getting right back to me.

Dr. Coyner is personable, respectful, and listens. She approached the visit in an unhurried matter and made me feel like her only priority. Like the visit was about me! She accurately diagnosed my problem and operated on me. My shoulder is feeling better than it has in decades. I owe that all to her skill as a doctor. She also has an amazing staff. I give her my highest recommendation.

After over a year of many travels to different doctors and numerous incorrect diagnoses, I was thankfully referred to Dr. Coyner. She patiently listened to my description of my symptoms and history. We explored options and agreed on hip surgery. She properly set the expectations for me regarding both the surgery and rehab. I found her to be approachable and honest. It has been 3 months since my surgery. I feel great and could not be happier with my results and my experience with Dr. Coyner.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Coyner?
I like Dr. Coyner's conservative approach to treatment, not recommending surgery right off the bat. However, her reluctance to order further imaging (MRI) to better diagnose the nature of my injury left me with 8-10 weeks before knowing if I have any other options for a condition that has me unable to participate in my daily exercise routine, walk or climb stairs without pain.

She LIED to me. When I asked her why her recommendations differed from two other Doctors, she boasted that" SHE was the head surgeon and all procedures at this office must be approved by her." Turns out, the others were RIGHT. Ooops, oh well, I just fell into the "allotted Failure %." she said. After six months of not able to move my elbow from my side, I demanded it be corrected. She then warned me the results could turn out worse, and I might DIE on the operating table! waited 4 hours ea appt

I felt Like Dr. Coyner did not have time for me and that she did not take the time to review my case before speaking to me. I was referred to her by an Orthopedic doctor that saw me in the ER and I was unable to get in to see her until 6 weeks later. I did not feel like she cared about me nor my situation.
