Dr. Katharine Borthwick, MD

Dr. Borthwick is very opinionated. I requested that my father be seen in the geriatric clinic at the VA in W. Los Angeles. Dr. Borthwick took it personally and made the request about her and not about the fact that we wanted to be seen in the GRECC clinic. She nearly refused to submit the referral citing that she wanted to see him before referring him. She wanted me to justify why I wanted my seventy-five year old father seen in the GRECC clinic. I do not recommend any doctor that doesn't know when to listen and when to speak. Dr. Borthwick later described me as adamant, and accused me of receiving VIP treatment. I don't like to be bullied by anyone and certainly not the MD that takes an hippocratic oath and should be ethical.
