A doctor that listens
Dr. Katwala is a very compassionate person that cares about the patient. He actually listens to your questions and concerns and answers them in terms that the average person understands without talking down to you. I have never felt like another file that needs to treat to get to the next one. After a emergency procedure at midnight on a weekend, Dr. Katwala took the time to talk with my husband to answer his questions and reassure him that everything was fine. He then told us different option I could take going forward. I don't understand all the negative comments as I have never had any issues or problems with Dr. Katwala or his staff.

I was treated by this doctor several months ago for polyps in my stomach. After the minor procedure I was told by him that he will call me and discuss details, which he never did. It took him almost 2 months to follow up and call me so finally he did, and when he did he pretended like nothing happened and tried to take me back for another procedure.... right before I was diagnosed with mild gastritis so I asked him if he checked the current status of the gastritis when he was doing the procedure and he said no he wasn't doing gastritis so my question is if you're in someone's stomach why don't you check other issues at the same time instead of scheduling multiple procedures and spending extra money. Not reliable, trustworthy, and has 0 integrity. Do not recommend to anyone.

Dr Katwala is a fine doctor. He said that we would not give up on what was wrong with me.Do he ordered an Mri and Myself and Dr looked through all CT scan and Mri scans.he pointed out the piece of gallbladder that was still attached and deathly infected.and we could see that my bile duct system neefed to be reconstructed ...Dr Kashyap has always been a fantastic partner.He also got the ball rolling to have me see Dr ADAM BODZIN at the University of Chicago..I am healed from the year of 2016.

I LOVE Dt Katwala! I had to switch my Digestive Doctors after 18 yrs & Didn't want to when mine left Edward Hospital. No one would take me because I've been to Mayo Clinic. My PCP called Dr Katwala personally for me in Jan 2016 he accepted me & got me in right away. Dr Katwala LISTENS to me & my concerns & is always looking for new ways to help my complex Digestive Issues.
