Doctor Shively repaired my unstable pelvic fracture. I am now running triathlons, trail races, and tough mudder events. I was very fortunate to have him as my surgeon.

Patient Beware!
Patient beware!! After numerous visits to other orthopedic surgeons to correct the damage Dr Karl Shively caused with a clearly outdated process of ankle fusion surgery, now nearly 7 years later, I cannot walk! Several pieces of hardware have snapped and broken, and I’ve been told by five other specialists that Dr Shively performed my surgery in a haphazard way. Outdated and unnecessary and not up to contemporary standards for this type of surgery. To date I have not received one follow up call post surgery just to check on how i was doing or even to measure my level of progress, I do take responsibility at the time for not getting a second and third opinion, but Dr Shively changed my life in a reprehensible way,. The pain I live with now daily is beyond stressful and most days debilitating. This is why it’s taken me over six years to post this review, it’s not in my nature to leave a negative review. (For any reason) But this physician changed my life in the worst way. James Clark
