Saw Dr. Horn for vertigo after completing his required tests; was told I wouldn’t have another episode. I did. Called to talk with him about possible remedies. He did not take the time to call me. Had his receptionist call me with a referral and she informed me the referral doctor didn’t take my insurance and I’d have to figure that out. The physician referral required a study before he could see me. I called Dr. Horn’s office and asked if they could order it. Was told they’ve never been asked to do that. Asked if the receptionist would speak with him and ask him to order it for me. They NEVER called me back. So here I sit, miserable and the physician I was referred to won’t see me until I have the study. Dr. Horn and his staff could care less about helping me. I’ve never been treated so poorly or been so frustrated and feeling hopeless. And I paid for this so-called service.

Dr. Horn is without a doubt one of the best docs I have known. Kind, caring and down to earth. Personally returns phone calls. I’ve been an RN for 35 years and would travel thousands of miles just to see him. His expertise is outstanding. His skills are excellent. His character is impeccable.

With a referral from audiologist, initial appointment was scheduled quickly. Waiting room time reasonable. Dr Horn did cursory exam and said needed to get an MRI. Front desk told me they would call me by end of week to schedule. No call. Called back 1 1/2 weeks later and was told they would call first thing the next day-no call.Another week and called again-another promise. It’s been a month and still no MRI scheduled. Looking for new doctor.

I saw this doctor twice for Meniere's disease that has caused deafness in one ear and my other ear was showing the same progression. He said, "I have no concerns about you losing the hearing in your good ear." I am now almost completely deaf. I called his office for a steroid injection and treatments options that must be done early on to preserve hearing and was told first available is three months away. I'm only 46. I do not recommend this doctor as he doesn't care at all about my hearing.

Jerk of a Doctor with an even worse staff. Don't bother to make an appointment unless you have at least 3 hours to wait around before you even have your initial hearing test.

Dr. Horn diagnosed me with a cholesteatoma telling me I would die without having a surgery - I won't go into his gruff impatient manner or his refusal to explain further - I will only say that I never had a cholesteatoma according to 3 other doctors so I'd never recommend him - EVER

DR Horn is an excellent Doctor , grumpy , but an excellent Doctor if you can get through the front office staff . The front office clerks are horrible. The woman at the front desk is rude and not very helpful, especially if you call to ask a question. They act like they are doing you a favor when you ask for help . I could not get over how rude I was treated over the phone. The medical folks in the back are great. Fire the clerks in the front and you will have great place to go for ENT services.

Total wait 1 hour and 45 minutes. When I approached the reception desk, the lady there axplained that she has placed my file away and they forgot abour me. I insisted on talkimng to Dr. Horn. He came into a waiting and prended that nothing was wrong. I mentioned my wait time, my re-filed chart. He acted rude and angry that I dared to critzized his staff. He offerred no apology or explation. A high disapointment from a care giver staff and a poor professional provider.

Extremely satisfied with Dr. Horn and his staff. I was treated for sudden hearing loss and I have recovered most of my audition. They scheduled my first appointment very quickly which is important to the outcome on this cases. Dr. Horn and his associates spend the time to explain what was going on and what to expect from my condition. I highly recommend him based on my experience

Dr. Horn is the last in a long line of ENT's. I got so discouraged at my undiagnosed cholesteatoma! I suffered for over 10 years. By the time I went to the mayo clinic in Phoenix I was desperate. They told me the best doctor for cholesteatoma awas Dr. Karl Horn is Albuquerque! He has been the first ENT that makes me feel like I can relax knowing I'm in excellent hands! I have had a complete mastoidectomy. My ear is all prosthetic or remade from cartilage. He is an excellent surgeon!!
