I first experienced Dr. Relucio's exceptional care back in 2013, when I was being treated in San Mateo General for pneumonia -- involving loculated empyema -- over a three-week stay in the infectious disease unit. Karen demonstrated a remarkable dedication to the progress of my healing curve, always sharing with me the details in my chart, answering all my questions and concerns (of which I had many), and instilled great confidence in my recovery. She maintained a wondrous balance between total professionalism and a sense of warmth and humanity. I felt as though I were in the care of a close friend who just happened to possess great expertise. I wish I could give more than just five stars; highest recommendation!
