I have been a patient of Dr. Hughes since 2014. She was always considerate of my needs. She really challenged me and I believe did everything to come to my diagnose. She is knowledgeable, professional, and searches until she's able to make your life better.

Very arrogant woman. When I started to cry she scoffed and rolled her eyes. I then had 4 more meeting with her, she was condescending and nonchalant. I became extremely anxious before and during each of our meetings. She was not a kind woman. Asked around about her and everyone basically said the same thing, “She has no manners.”. Terrible.

This lady got offended that I was seeking help for is that I’m depressed about having Lupus. She told she was offended because she had a loved one die of cancer. She then had me forcefully admitted and said I was paranoid, delusional, and violent. Which is a lie and is now on my phyc record. Beware!

She was very forthcoming about what I needed to do as for getting better. The fact that she showed interest in the triggers that cause my extreme depression, made very easy to talk with her. I will continue to work with her to ensure a better future.

Not compassionate whatsoever. I felt like just another patient/number in a long list of people she wanted to get through. Rarely looked me in the eyes & was hurried. Did not listen to my life story & flat-out just diagnosed me with depression, even though I have an established relationship with my therapist who has told me I have PMDD/PTSD, but we are also considering a Bipolar. Dr Hughes immediately told me I don't have bipolar just depression with NO history or information. Seemed over it.

She wasn't compassionate. Her main concern first and foremost if she would be paid, but I already had paid before I spoke with her. She made me wait 40 minutes to see me because the office staff's computer was inoperable and they could not verify my Blue Cross Insurance. She said she could not prescribe the medication I have been taking for 10 years because she was worried about my blood pressure. I told her I had an excellent cardiologist who knew my medication regime. she didn't take my BP????
