Dr. Karen Crockett, MD

So first off she has a nice and sweet demeanor. Chiricahua is somewhere you want to make sure your phone is charged because you will be waiting even if you are the only one there. I had told her I wanted a breast exam along with my PAP and I did get the PAP however she started finishing up and walking out the door until i spoke up that she forgot my breast exam..... idk how that was forgotten.. i asked for the MA to be to the side of me for privacy and she did not even bother and just said she is fine there. I used to be a MA and the fact that i know that this is a common request and it was not done is beyond me. I was very uncomfortable on top of that i HATE PAPS because of my past. It made my anxiety so bad throughout the PAP proccess. Then when it came to my breast exam she said "you have very beautiful breasts" and i felt SOOOO uncomfortable.......Like, this is why i chose a girl doctor because i wanted to feel comfortable and i just had the complete opposite experience in my opinion. I feel bad writing this because she worked hard to get to where she is but this happened a WHILE ago and it has always stayed in my head. I just want to say that if you have had a "past" to where you need a woman doctor maybeeee try a diffent one?

She is very nice but not very up to date on current standard medical practices in my experience. If you only need simple medical care then she will probably be fine but if you need an attentive doctor that is willing to look into your specific medical issues then she is a little outdated on her information and practices. Not quite the level of expertise I was hoping for.
