I have been a patient of Dr. Crocker-Wensel since 2020. I have severe and complex mental issues. When I became her patient I was NOT doing well. I had been suicidal since the age of ~8 but had gotten significantly worse since entering my late teens/early twenties. When we met I was on the verge of suicide basically all the time, and was completely non-functional besides. I rarely got out of bed to do anything, even use the restroom. It was miserable. ENTER Dr. Crocker-Wensel! She did a thorough review of everything I tried, got really deep into my past: what worked, what didn’t work, different treatment approaches she thought were possibilities and what did I think of them – it was THOROUGH. And then we started! We tried one thing, and we had regular appointments to monitor how it was working. Then we tried another thing, and more monitoring. She was so thorough at every appointment, pointing out things that I hadn’t noticed myself. We tried a LOT of meds, because my horrible little brain was putting up a nice fight. But she was persistent, flexible, responsive, and always communicated what she was observing and what she thought the reasons were, and gave me a lot of information about WHY she suggested this or that. All of this, of course, was in conjunction with a LOT of therapy, and I don’t want to discount that! But Dr. Crocker-Wensel managed to fiddle with my neurotransmitters until I wasn’t suicidal anymore, I had much higher self-esteem, my relationships with friends and family were rescued, and I now have a job which I excel at! This is something that over two decades of treatment with various providers had failed to accomplish. I do not exaggerate when I say that Dr. Crocker-Wensel saved my life. Basically, Dr. Crocker-Wensel is a 10/10 A+++ doctor and I recommend her to anyone with treatment-resistant anything.

If you're looking for doctor that doesn't care about you and only wants to push medications down your throat so she can get paid, this doctor is the one for you! She was generally unfriendly and short, and literally scoffed when I asked if she would recommend additional therapy on top of the medication she prescribed to me within minutes of meeting one another. She was assumptive and quick to apply her own opinions on the behaviours described to her. Not to mention the cost of a 30 min visit.
