Dr. Kamilah Banks-Word, MD

Dr. Banks-Word is a pleasure and is very compassionate doctor. Dr. Banks-Word has helped my daughter tremendously.

The last time I saw Banks-word was during quarantine. She was very dismissive of my problems. I felt invalidated many times, not to mention she was argumentative when I tried to defend myself. I still remember when I tried to tell her about how a problem was still affecting me and she cut me off to tell me she didnt want to hear about it anymore, and to talk about something else. Another time I was pressured into being on medication. These are examples of the many instances where I felt like she was not good for me. Reading the more recent reviews shows that she may have changed, which is good. I wouldnt want anyone going through the things I felt.

Dr. Banks is wonderful with my 10yr old grandson. She actually cares and it comes across in every way.

Dr.Banks always has been super patient and always was so helpful when it came to explain anything or describing anything to do with treatment that came along.She was also always very helpful when it came to describing different medications and treatment plans!

Dr. Banks has been seeing my son for about 2 years now and he loves her so much. She is amazing. She always listens to him and talks to him in ways he understands. She does not leave him out of his treatment plan and allows him to give his opinion. Always answers any questions he has for her. She communicates great with me and his dad and we have never had any issues with her. I just love the fact that we never leave an appt and my son is confused on what happened or why he has to take the medication she gives.

Was very attentive and listened to our child as well as us as parents when discussing his needs. Didn’t give us the typical DR jargon, really appreciate how she handled him with CARE. I would recommend Dr. Banks to anyone

Dr. Banks helped my now 8 year old that had been seeing herfor the past 4 years. My daughter is a lot calmer &she loved Dr. Banks because she listens to her concerns. Dr banks genuinely care.

Dr. Banks is a godsend! I was referred to her for my son, at a time when I felt like I could not find a doctor that really understood and genuinely cared about my son and his condition. Dr. Banks is amazing! Not to mention patient and she’s really is concerned of what’s in the of her patients! I have been fortunate to have her as my son’s doctor for 2 years and with the help of Dr. Banks my son continues to make progress.

I love Mrs Banks-Word! She has been working with my son and I have seen great improvement. I also like that fact that she actually take time to listen to my concerns with my son and give great solutions to make his growth improve. Highly recommend her!

I love seeing her work with my daughter, she has helped her out alot in a short period! I was very hesitant with using meds but decided to give it a chance and trial it with the understanding if it changed her in anyway I was not comfortable that we would stop it, I didn't want to change how or who my child is but gave it a shot and tried it and has helped tremendously! Def reccomend Dr.Banks!
