Dr. Kamala Foster, MD

I moved from out of state and needed a PCP. Dr. Foster accepted my insurance so I made an appointment. I was happy that I did. She listened, was informative and helpful. I’m happy to have found a competent and caring PCP.

She came in after we had waited more than 1.5 hours after our scheduled appointment time. She was very rude and snippy in demeanor throughout the visit, acting like I didn’t know what I was talking about. She even scolded me for interrupting her, even though she had stopped talking. I have never felt so disrespected by a doctor before. This behavior was very unprofessional on her part, and even more so when the patient is a minor.

This was the first time in a long time that I immediately liked a doctor as soon as she introduced herself! I accompanied my sister to her first appointment with Dr. Foster and discovered immediately that she is a colleague of my sister's oncologist! Knowing that they will be working in tandem with her medical care is refreshing and eased any anxiety I had! She easily has the best bedside manner I've witnessed in quite a while. She asks many questions and answers twice as many with patience, thoroughness, and professionalism. She has truly endeared herself to me and my sister (her patient) and is so very happy that we found her!

Dr Foster is the best. Before, Covid 19, you would often have to wait to see her, but she is certainly worth the wait. Dr Foster is an extremely caring doctor who spends considerable time with you and often answers the office phone herself, which is something no other doctor will do. She actually remembers her patients issues without having to constantly review her notes.

Dr. Kamala Foster, Boki (Nurse Practitionor) and Briana were so nice and sweet to me. I usually hate going to the doctors but they all made me so comfortable and were very nice to me. Dr. Foster was able to explain to me in depth about my concerns and also referred me to great speacilist.

Very unprofessional. I waited for almost 3 hrs. to get check by Dr. Kamala. Many people came after me and she took them . I had an appt and i came early to avoid any delays. I guess because I was Latin they did not care. I could not keep waiting needed it to got back to work. So, i re-scheduled for next day. Next day i have to wait but it was not as long the waiting. Several weeks after I got a bill for the two days service. I called her office they did not want to do an adjustment . I called the insurance and they told me that I need to deal directly with her. I ended up paying for the 2 days otherwise will go to collections. Months later and now in the epidemic. I called her because at time I haven't changed my primary dr and could't wait afraid of Coronavirus related.. Many doctors are not taking fist time patients. She refuse to take me because I challenged the bill as per Her office told me to go to emergency. I won't recommend her. I felt discriminated, not professional.

Doctor kamala is very caring, she wants her patient to thrive She makes sure to give you the time you deserve when you are in the examination room with her. Witch is what others doctors don't give you the time that you deserve. And she is very knowledgeable in her career She is very good referring her patients to a specialist it they need to. For me and my husband the wait time in the waiting area is worth it,because we know the service we will get is excellent. We love doctor Foster.

Dr. Foster is caring, knowledgeable and often even answers the phone when I call in and her staff has gone or are on break. She has never left me waiting more than the usual 15-20 minutes at any doctors office. She not only always knows who I am but remembers details about my health without having time to look it up. She is the best PCP I have had in over 15 years. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring thorough PCP.

2 visits. Waited 45 min & 2 hours. I called to get test results (claimed they called & L/M). Was told I needed a follow-up to discuss my "abnormal" results. Dr refused to discuss over phone due to HIPPA rules (lies) but I signed a form consenting to discuss my results over phone. Went for follow-up & was told I had an infection & needed antibiotics. Saw my NP days later & told nothing wrong w/me & I didn’t need meds; Dr unnecessarily tested me. Follow-up = $ trap. Dr condescending and tad rude.

She has left me waiting to be seen from anywhere to 90 minutes past my appointment time, to 3 hours past my appointment time. She is more loyal to her colleagues then her patients. After a horrible encounter with a specialist that Dr. Foster referred me to, she did not validate my complaint, and actually defended the specialist. She also rarely remembers things I have told her from one appointment to the next. I do not know if she is not paying attention to me, or too busy.

I was seen by Dr. Foster nearly 90 minutes after I walked in the door. I arrived 15 minutes early knowing there would be paperwork. Front desk staff was nice, but bored. Just before she opened the door to my exam room, she could clearly be heard giving instructions to her employees, then lambasting them with I can't hear you multiple times until they answered in a manner she approved of. I made it known I would not be returning based on these things, and the visit was rather abrupt after that.

Dr. Kamala is one of the most caring Physicians that I've encountered. She is compassionate, thorough, knowledgeable and displays such humanity. My Parents are her patients, and have had serious health issues in the last few years. They could not have asked for a better primary physician. God bless you for all you do Dr. Kamala. Thank you!
