Dr. Rao is very nice and I think he means very well. I got the impression, however, through multiple visits that he does not fully believe that antidepressants can cause withdrawal when you stop taking them/are weaning off. When I experienced withdrawal myself with him as my psych, I did not feel fully believed. This ultimately lead to me finding another psych, as I felt that it was affecting my level of care.

Dr. Rao is a very caring and intelligent doctor. I did a lot of research beforehand and was finally able to find a doctor who not only listens but has innovative recommendations that were tailored to my individual situation. He is also very flexible and genuinely cares about the progress of his patients.

Dr. Rao started the visit by asking questions from a form I had already filled out. Nothing was reviewed. It was a cookie cutter visit, not something I want from someone who is tasked with my mental health.

He is a well educated compassionate Dr who helped me a great deal. I have Lupus he actually took the time to figure out the root cause and help me treat it.

Dr. Rao really listens to his patients goals and is willing to meet with them frequently for talk therapy. He doesn't push medication and encourages a holistic approach. He's been the best psychiatrist/therapist I've had in over 10 years.
