Dr. Kalpana Desai, MD

Dr. Desai is very rude. After waiting long after my appointment time to see her, she then rushed me and told me she had other patients to see. I KNOW...I was one of them!! She seems to be double booking patients and she cannot handle the load. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING!

Dr Desai is a poor excuse for a doctor. Last week I called and I asked her for a referral to an orthopedic doctor. I have terrible pain in my shoulder due to a torn rotator cuff. I called back to make sure the referral was sent and I was told that it was I called the orthopedic doctor and they did not receive the referral. When i called Dr Desai's office and I was told that there's a new policy that I have to see her first before she'll write a referral. I proceeded to tell them that it was in excruciating pain. I need to see an orthopedic doctor immediately but the answer was no and so I sat the rest of the week in agony and my appointment was on Friday to see Dr Desai. I called the orthopedic doctor and now I have to wait two and a half weeks for my appointment that's 3 weeks of agony for me. I immediately changed my insurance from the PPO to an HMO that went into affect February 1st and did not even bother to go my appointment because I didn't feel like sitting there for hours

I looked forward to my initial appointment with Dr. Desai. I arrived 20 minutes early to my appointment, had even brought my paperwork by. Prior to appointment. I sat and didn’t see Dr. Desai until 40 minutes after my appointment time! Then she cut me off several times as I tried to answer her questions, I was only with her 15 minutes and considered walking out due to how rude and unprofessional she behaved.

She would not connect me to someone to help me. Very Rude and argumentative. I have been going here for at least a year and staff has always been great.Ariana is awful and this is the only way to get thru to the office without me having to drive 45 minutes. After her getting back to me 3 times and telling me she will transfer me, arguing me still, I still held just to see how long she would play her rude game with me. Well it was 50 minutes I held, and I got disconnected. PERFECT! After 4 days, thank you Holly, for your patience, apology and professionalism. She listened, understood, and took care of all concerns, questions and solved problem.

I have been seeing DR Desai for almost 2 years. She made sure I found a superb surgeon for my spinal condition(ruptured disk). I had also had previous surgery on my lumbar back. After I recovered she supported my goals of losing weight. DR Desai worked closely with me on my food diary and proper dose of medicines. I am back working out at the gym and walking.(Something I thought would never happen). DR Desai has been my best supporter through it all. DR Desai did not sugar coat what was necessary for me to do. But she was so supportive and I feel fortunate to have her as my DR

Dr Desai and staff are very on point. If there's a problem it's taking care of. I'm happy that Dr. Desai is my family Dr

The worst, what they charge is crazy over 400 for the first visit. they tell you they take your insurance but then they bill you the full amount and lie to you. They have made my life hell trying to make me pay because of their mistake. I am filing a complaint with the Fl. medical dept and others.

The office team and nurses are outstanding, fun and professional. Dr. Desai is the best as she is extremely thorough and takes her time to answer all questions. The main thing I like is her honesty, she tells it like it is and with my health I want the truth on what I am doing to myself and what I can do to improve my life. My wife and I are very happy we found this team.

Dr. Desai has been treating me for approximately 25 years and she has been very professional, helpful, referred me to the tight providers for my problems and provided everything that I needed in the line of Healthcare. In addition to that she is a kind caring person who is genuinely concerned about giving her patients the care they need.

Do NOT recommend!!! You’ll go broke before you even see about your health..

Dr Desai was very through in gather my prior medical history and in initial physical.

I’ve been with Dr Desai for about seven years now, she is hands down the best doctor I’ve ever had. I’ve had health issues that started in my twenties, I’m now in my sixties and a ton of new problems came with aging. I lived in Chicago for many years and thought I had the best primary until I moved to Florida and found Dr Desai. She’s so incredibly thorough, she tackles all my problems, I have a lot! I never have a problem getting an appointment and the staff is always very friendly. I have referred family and friends to her and they all thank me because they think she’s just wonderful! I pray she never retires! If you’re looking for a good primary she’s the one.

I made an appt with Dr. Desai and she cancelled it. Then she didn’t scheduled another one for 6 weeks. I had already waited 4 weeks for the first one. When I finally went to Dr Desai on a first visit, I stated that I was out of diabetes medicine. I told her I had not done a finger stick because my monitor was broken. She completely ignored this and never did a finger stick. She continued on with the appt. I told her I felt I had a UTI . She eventually sent me in to pee in a cup and then told me I didn’t have one. I told her I felt I did and reluctantly sent it off to be checked. Two weeks later she called to tell me I had a UTI. I went on to tell her I had a heart condition . She never asked for my cardiologist’s name to get my info from him. In addition, I told her I was an asthmatic. I asked what her policy was if I had an asthma attack. I asked whether I would be able to get an appt that same day. She told me probably not and I should go to a walk-in clinic. Don’t go to her

I went to Dr Deasi once and found her unwilling to discuss my concerns but she had her agenda to discuss with me. Never went back and changed primary doctor.j

I am a new patient with Dr. Desai’s practice, and my first appointment was a video chat because of the virus. I am extremely impressed with Dr. Desai. She spent a lot of time talking with me and going over my previous history. Dr. Desai asked me a lot of questions and offered me advice on some of my issues. She also is following up with appropriate bloodwork and tests. I feel very comfortable and satisfied with my initial visit with Dr. Desai.

Dr Desai is a caring, compassionate Doctor.

I love Dr. Desai. She is wonderful in every way, and very in tune with you. Excellent!

I am a RN and soon to be ARNP myself and April and Dr. Desai are both very knowledgeable providers. They both are very sweet, kind and have excellent bedside manners. Their staff are great too and they are on-top if their games. Kuddos to the whole office! I would recommend April or Dr. Desai to my friends & family with no hesitation. You can tell they truly care for you and your not just another #.

I really appreciate Dr Desai. Not only is she my wonderful doctor but she is my “partner” in health.

Dr. DESAI and April Webber are great health care professionals. They are truly concerned about a patient’s health and they take the time to listen to the patient and explain a treatment plan. My wife and I both went to several doctors until we found Dr. Desai’s Office. Her office staff is very helpful and courteous as well. I would Highly recommend Dr. DESAI and her staff. Jim
