I went to Dr Zelonis one and a half years ago for left carpal tunnel surgery and he nailed it! No more pain!! so I went again 3-28-24 for right hand carpel tunnel surgery and he nailed it again!! No more pain!! Understand my pain was a 8-9 at night starting in hands and up through elbows and shoulders, pain all gone now and I am back to sleep!! Such a relief and am so great-full he knows how to use his skills. Top shelf doctor!

I would never recommend Plastic & Hand. It’s all about the money . Justin Zelones was my surgeon and had no clue what he was doing. After having gone through breast cancer and developing an infection with one on my implants, he chose to take both out in the OR and replace them with two different sizes. a 350cc in the infected breast and 325cc in the uninflected breast. In addition he cut out the nipple on the uninfected breast. When I saw what he had done, I cried because I looked like a freak. I asked him why he put in different sizes and why he took out one of my nipples. He said it was the best way to perform the surgery so everything looked symmetrical. A couple of months later the smaller implant began moving up toward my shoulder and was a couple inches higher than my left. I made an appt to speak to the head surgeon and he completely dismissed my concerns and said the right breast would fall. It never did. If you want surgeons who truly care, this is not the place.

Dr. Zelones removed a cyst from my forehead. He did not like the look of the tissue and sent for pathology results. Returned as undetermined carcinoma. This necessitated a PET scan which revealed Parotid cancer. If it wasn’t for Dr. Zelones my life would be in jeopardy. He is the best of the best.In addition, he fixed “dimpled” scars from previous laparoscopic surgery. He is truly a body artist! I would not go to anyone else!

For decades I have suffered with pain and motion restrictions from being too big breasted. I thought losing weight (125 pounds) would relieve some of the pulling on my shoulders and upper back. But it just got worse when my breasts deflated. I mentioned my discomfort to my primary care doctor and she referred me to Plastic and Hand. I was so impressed meeting Dr. Zelones. He was attentive, patient and gentle in his exam, and he was able to book my surgery for May 2023. The work Dr. Zelones did was amazing. I am so comfortable now! I can trail run again, and the pain and feelings of electric shocks in my back have completely disappeared. The surgery has given me so much confidence in myself, but most importantly, I have no more pain and a greatly improved quality of life. I cannot thank Dr. Zelones and the staff at Plastic and Hand enough for giving me my life back!

Dr. Zelones did an excellent job of reconstructing my leg after 3 previous bone & bypass surgeries. Appreciate his willingness & effectiveness in working with a team of orthopedic, vascular & infectious disease doctors to save my leg. Daily post-op team were professional & personable during a difficult recovery. Highly recommend this doctor & his team. Many Thanx!

I have been seeing Dr. Zelones for injections the last couple of years at Plastics and Hand in South Portland. I love my results and always get compliments of how refreshed I look after my appointments. The doctor and office staff are always professional, kind, and timely. This is where I refer my friends and family!

If you are looking for an experienced breast reconstruction surgeon, please, please, look elsewhere. I had two surgeries with Justin Zelones and was completely disfigured. He replaced the implant on my breast cancer side with a 350cc implant and the other with 325? He also removed my nipple on the non cancerous side? Unfortunately, he lacks experience, empathy and good communication skills. I couldn’t live with this outcome and so I made appts with three other surgeons to get another opinion. After reading his surgical report, none of them could understand why he did what he did. Fortunately, I found a surgeon in NH that provided me with a completely different experience (she was knowledgeable,, compassionate and a great communicator) and was able to skillfully corrected his mistakes. I did report my unhappiness to Plastic and Hand and asked to change to another surgeon but nothing was ever done. I endured to surgeries that were very expensive and completely useless.
