Hyper doc
Extremely unprofessional, behaved like kiddo, and didn’t even know how to treat patients by treatments in general!

Made my life much better
Always on time and always has time to explain what is going on with my limbs. He is also a good listener. I have seen Dr Riutta on and off since 2007.

I left work early to go to my appointment. There was an accident on the road I was going to be about 5 minutes late, I was a mile away. I called the office to be sure I could still be seen. The receptionist said yes no problem. I was 5 minutes late when I checked in. The same receptionist I spoke to 5 minutes earlier now tells me the Dr is overbooked and will not see me. I told her I just spoke to her and she stated he would not see me he was overbooked. There was no one in the waiting room accept myself. She rescheduled me for the first appointment not overbooked which was 9 weeks later which will probably be overbooked by time I get to be seen. I think I'll take my health care elsewhere. My time and my medical issue is just as important and he seems to think he is. Thanks for nothing.

After what was ultimately diagnosed as very bad breast (cancer) reconstruction surgery, the surgeon told me my deformity was caused by lymphedema. I saw Dr. Riutta, who gave me 3 exercises to do, leading me to believe that I did, in fact, have lymphedema. When I needed to see him again for something unrelated, I asked him why he gave me exercises and didn't just give me the name of a good plastic surgeon, he replied "I had to protect my colleague". I'm glad my other doctors didn't feel that way!

Dr. Riutta quickly diagnosed my condition, which I had been suffering from for many years and other doctors overlooked. I only wish I found him sooner. Additionally, he's got a wonderful personality -- something I don't take for granted anymore in the medical field.

He is personable and knows his field. My complaints are with his office staff - too casual with personal conversations among themselves which are easily overheard by patients. Also, hard to make an appointment within a reasonable amount of time. You can never get in to see him for 4-6 weeks and rarely is there accommodation for semi emergency appointments. Even if you do get an appointment, half the time you get a call that he needs to reschedule. I have quit going to him.
