Dr. Justin Neira, MD

I recently had an intradural schwannoma tumor removed from the lumbar area of my spine by Dr. Neira. He is an extremely gifted surgeon! His training with Dr. McCormick, where he operated on many spinal tumors, was a big plus for me. He also was more thorough in his evaluation than other surgeons I spoke to, taking the time to rule out an ependymoma before surgery, and his thorough process provided valuable information regarding my treatment plan. Two weeks post surgery I’m walking an hour a day in three twenty minute segments, and planning a vacation with my wife!I hope this review helps someone in choosing Dr. Neira. As soon as I saw Dr. Neira, I knew he was the surgeon who sincerely cared about my condition. His staff are all Top Notch professionals. Dr. Neira was very warm and caring when greeting me for the first and he listened to my concerns. He reviewed my MRI and took his own X-rays and we sat down and talked about the procedure to remove a very large tumor from my spinal cord. He explained his procedure and provided the facts. I felt safe and comfortable and immediately knew I’d be in good hands to proceed under his care. My surgery was a great success. When he visited me in my hospital room after my surgery and he saw me standing about 2 inches taller than before my surgery from a tumor which may have been there for over 15 years, I am able to stand up straight and tall now. It’s like a miracle. I owe Dr. Neira my sincere gratitude for giving me my quality of life back. Thank you Dr. Neira and thank you to every member of your staff and your associate team of doctors.

I was very impressed with Dr. Neira. He listened to my story, he was very open in sharing his thoughts, clear in his explanations, shared the MRIs and pointed at everything he was discussing with me. There was no wait time in the waiting area, a little wait in the office, but not bad at all. I left feeling comfortable that he was on target with his evaluation and anytime a surgeon says surgery isn't indicated, I'm happy. He is sending me to PT and a neurologist for further review. It was a very pleasant and thorough visit and he answered all of my questions.

I met Dr Neira last year 2023 for a second opinion for spinal stenosis. What was impossible for other doctors this angelic doctor had the plan. I have had 4 prior spinal surgeries but he gave me confidence I would be ok. Once he did the surgery I was walking and going up and down the stairs the very next day. With my faith in God he brought me to Dr Neira he is so kind he also has a great sense of humor. I felt so comfortable with him the hands of an Angel. He truly cares for his patients. He will be my doctor for the rest of my life.

Dr. Neira is a surgeon who provides excellent care and results with spinal surgery as well as head and neck surgery. He has a warm, caring personality and terrific bedside manner before surgery and then when he followed up with me at the hospital in recovery, he was comforting. Due to his support and expertise, It was a short healing process! Thanks to him because he successfully removed a tumor from my head which was effecting my central nervous system. I was fortunate it was benign! He is a head, neck and spine master. I have NO issues now and I am living my life without anxiety, pain and disfunction due to Dr. Neira's expertise and state of the art procedures. If you need cranial, neck or spinal surgery look no further! He is top tier and a healer of the body's malfunctions. Don't suffer or worry needlessly.
