Dr. Justin Fernandez, MD

Just Fernandez sent my brother home with stage 4 kidney failure refusing to continue monitoring him. He is arrogant and treated my father and brother absolutely disgustingly. This man needs to have his license revoked for not continuing to treat my brother and almost killing him. Please make sure you take this review and others into consideration before you put your life on the line. This man will let you die.

Had it not been for a nurse who actually listened to my concerns and pleas re my husband's condition,I would be a widow today. Dr Fernandez seemed bothered that I did not accept that my husband was ready for discharge from the hospital, and ready for a rehab facility. In fact he already had him scheduled to be transferred to rehab that day. He said 'I don't know what else to tell you'. Once it was discovered my husband had a 99% blockage in the main coronary artery,he began damage control by calling my cell phone and saying 'good thing he complained of chest pains',which was a blatant lie because at the time my husband was unable to speak. I found out later that his lie was documented into my husbands chart and accepted as truth. I never want anything to do with the facility or this excuse for a Dr. Shame on him!

My family and hospitalized relative have never had a more negative interaction with a medical provider. Dr. Fernandez showed no compassion, dismissed family questions/concerns with diagnoses and rushed discharge. When the patient/family asked questions his responses were short, curt and arrogant. In addition, we directly observed his failure to follow CDC Guidelines following basic infection prevention guidelines by following isolation protocols on in my relative's room and multiple other occasions entering/exiting other patient rooms. We will not be returning the facility in which he practices based on his behavior and blatant disregard for engaging in patient safety practices.
