Careless Doctor
Dr. Sumner preformed a DNC, and IUD on me in early 2023. My life has been a roller coaster since. I went for my post op and informed him that my bleeding had gotten worse since the procedure. I asked him if he could take me out of work for a week to see if it would help the excessive bleeding, his response was he couldn't I should just wait a few weeks to let the IUD work. This is after I sat in his office in tears, explaining to him that all I could do is go to work then I'm drained laying around and changing because of the excessive bleeding. He then decided to give me 2 days off. So, I decided to advocate for myself and went to the ER, where I was admitted due to my blood count being low, and the IUD being placed wrong. Now I'm on blood thinners, 3 other meds, 5 blood transfusions, and 14 rounds of liquid iron. No follow up from him AT ALL! Ladies, please advocate for yourselves. I'm 46 and never had health issues like this before. I pray this review helps him and someone else.

Hands down best doctor I’ve ever seen
I’m only 28 years old and have been fighting tooth and nail for years for doctors to listen to me about my endometriosis pains. Dr sumner was the first to not only listen to my complaints but see how much it was affecting my day to day life. Ultimately I wanted to go with a hysterectomy, which we did, and within 3 days of the surgery I felt better than I have in YEARS. We’re still waiting on pathology for some other stuff that was found, but even through that he has given me updates and leveled with me that we were going into the unknown for now. I’m so sad that I didn’t see him sooner, but will forever be grateful to him for giving me a new lease on life.

Wonderful doctor!
Dr. Sumner took the time to listen and understand my fears and concerns. He was kind and was able to help me feel at ease. I haven’t been examined “down there” for many years. I was expecting to be chastised, but nope! No judgement was given. Only encouragement to get my yearly check ups and to call if I had any problems or concerns prior to my next yearly exam.

Amazing,caring,considerate
I went in for an emergency surgery for an ectopic pregnancy. I was very emotional scared and confused. Dr. Sumner took his time to explain all my options and possible complications bc I also had a very large fibroid we learned that also had to be removed. He answered every question my loved ones asked. He had true bedside manner and made me feel like I was in the best hands. I was lucky to have had him as a surgeon. My scars are minimal and healed beautifully. I am now his patient for life. He explains things so that you can understand them too. Such a great Dr. He made a horrible experience as best as it could be.

Excellent doctor - very highly recommended
This morning, I had my first ob gyn appointment in over 20 years at Langhorne, PA office with Dr. Justen Sumner, M.D. As a traditional Asian female, I was extremely hesitant about being examined by a male gynecologist. But, Dr. Sumner was culturally sensitive and very knowledgeable professional with excellent bedside manners who made me feel very comfortable being examined by him. He displayed excellent communication skills as he very patiently and thoroughly answered all my questions and concerns that brought me in today. He educated me about available test/ treatment options due to cancer history on both sides of my family and I really appreciated that his recommendation options were based on current research findings. I would very highly recommend him without any hesitation. I also would like to express my appreciation to Ginny at the front desk who explained to me that Dr. Sumner's open availability for appointments were due to him recently having joined their practice.

Dr. Sumner is the most unprofessional, disrespectful and careless doctor I’ve EVER met. I had a diagnostic procedure scheduled for MONTHS, or so I thought. And rather than performing the procedure, he attempted to push pills on me. I need to get the the root of my problem, the root of my pain and I’ve told him that several times over the last year. He knows birth control has been a huge problem for me, and also knew that I wanted to have a baby when the time was right. But still, was so persistent about me going back on (after I’ve come so far with getting off of it) and “instead of dealing with the pain I have to just cover it up with medication.” He didn’t say that word for word but might as well have. Doctors like him are living proof that some doctors only care about their title and what they make from it.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Sumner after having the same doctor for over 20 years. He was patient and listened to my concerns without making me feel rushed. He also took the time to explain my concerns in a way I could understand. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor.
