Unprofessional
Dr. Desimone was unprofessional and crossed a huge boundary during an appointment with my daughter. She also gave terrible advice that lead to having to take my infant to the ER. I do not recommend

Horrible
Not sure where to start on the provider. Not only did she misdiagnose my child (who was later hospitalized for her condition) but she said my child stunk (later found to be due to her illness) and asked if she had been abused (no reason to even suspect that). I’m in healthcare, and I was appalled by her bedside manner.

Felt like an inconvenience to her time
I took my two daughters (4 and 9months) to her 4-5 times and never once felt like she had time for us. Every time I left I had unanswered questions and felt like I was somehow asking too much of her. One of the visits was spent shaming my 4 year old about her BMI (she’s tall and thin and does not appear to have any body fat whatsoever) another with her telling me she didn’t have time to answer my questions (which she later attempted to apologize for, kind of…) The last visit ended up with her almost yelling questions at me without giving me a chance to answer regarding my infant’s sleep schedule, a brushed off concern that ended up with us in the ER later that night, and her walking out of the office and ending our visit before we could review my daughter’s 9 month development screening. Her bedside manner was awful. Would not recommend, ever.

Extremely pleased
Dr. June was our physician for approximately two years, though we are now moving to a different state. I have had only positive experiences with her. My daughter (who is 5) has been sick on various occasions, and Dr. June was always very knowledgeable and helpful. Our well checks were also always thorough, and she has a great rapport with my daughter, who loves her. I always felt very safe in Dr. June's hands, and I recommend her very highly.

First visit with Dr DeSimone for two children (15,11). Had high hopes as she came highly recommended. Dr DeSimone was rude and patronizing to me, lectured both my children in a pressured way about healthy eating, and BMI (both of them are FINE), talked to my 15 year old about breast cancer (including stories about teens finding lumps). Dr DeSimone completely disregarded my teenage daughter’s request to have me in the room. I was floored by how patronizing she was and tone deaf with both my children. NOT patient centered care. A very upsetting 2.5 hour experience and now need to find a new pediatrician.

My daughter saw her twice, once for a sprained ankle and once for an infected ingrown toenail. Although friendly enough, I guess, she seemed flustered and rushed and more focused on my daughter’s weight than the pressing injuries. We are a family of larger albeit fairly active people and she went on to lecture us about the perils family style eating and hand wringing about cholesterol levels leaving my daughter feeling confused, ashamed, and afraid. She is now in treatment for an eating disorder. If you are looking for body positivity or a Heatlth AT Every Size(HAES) provider she is definitely not for you.

Dr DeSimone is a wonderful physician. She is very knowledgeable, thorough, calm and compassionate. She has been my children’s doctor since birth and now to 8 years old. I could not be happier with the care she provides. When I am anxious, she is calm and her knowledge and concern make me feel very comfortable with her plans. I highly recommend her as an amazing physician in all areas.

Both of my kids have been patients of Dr DeSimone - and I can easily say our entire family couldn't speak more highly of her. She focuses on the whole child not just immediate health: consulting with us on education choices and making sure our older child is able to talk freely with her about anything. She also was the only physician to discover a rare heart condition that saved our sons life. DeSimone staff is also fantastic: personable, caring and they remember everything. We are thrilled to have a health partner like DeSimone for our kids.

Dr. DeSimone fed my whole family tons of crap on healthy eating, focused most of our sessions on that actually. Really encompassed the whole doctors not understanding mental health situation.

We have been patients now for 12 years and two boys. Entering teen years and never dull. June is a voice off reason and a truly great doctor for creating an open environment. I’ll wait my 20 minutes for expertise, bed side manner and the trust she has built within our family.

I do not recommend Dr. DeSimone. I don’t think she listens well, doesn’t connect with parent, is not very sensitive, and comes of rushed.

We waited in the waiting room for 30 minutes past our given appointment, and another 30-40 in the waiting room. When I peeked my head out to inquire about any further delay, I discovered Dr. DeSimone was chatting with the other staff about non-work related issues, and we were just sitting in our hot room waiting for them to finish socializing. The Dr. rushed through the appointment, glancing at her watch. She also took a personal call on her cell whilst in the middle of the 10 minutes we had.
