God sent
I have had severe neck pain for two years that's developed in my shoulders and elbows. I had been seeing another pain doctor who I felt didn't care, no communication, pitch pain pills and not focused on the real problem. I have saw Dr. Olaya now 3 times and he listens to his patients and I feel that I am a concern to him and my needs. I feel very comfortable with his practice and knowledge just in 3 visits! My pain is unbearable and he's done more for me than the other one I choose not to see anymore. The staff is nice and treat you like you are important, not just a number. Having good insurance is a must in any case. I am grateful to have good coverage. Dr. Olaya wants to fix my problem, and I may need pain medication the rest of my life. I wish God sent him to me over 2 years ago and I am thankful to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. He cares and that matters!

I wasn't going to leave a review, but after reading the negative things said about this man I felt I had to. He is the nicest pain Dr. I've ever had. I can't imagine this man doing any of the negative things others have said. He comes in smiling and is one of those people that seem perpetually happy. He's very understanding and has really helped my pain more than others have. His staff is especially nice too. I've never seen anyone act upset or treated harshly. The other reviews must have him mixed up with another doctor, or they have a grudge against him.

Dr Olaya is a very kind, compassionate physician. With the opioid epidemic, he has to play detective with patients who really needs opioids and those who are there faking pain to abuse or sell drugs. It's a very responsible, tough line to walk. Those who are writing a bad review probably didn't con him out of the drugs they were seeking. He does get angry when people are faking their pain to abuse or sell drugs. He doesn't have time for that. He is an excellent physician who cares and helps his patients live life with reduced pain or pain free.

As a 20 year old prospective medical student, Dr. Olaya is a perfect example of how NOT to treat your patients. I am 20 years old and have had debilitating chronic back pain (that we have yet to be able to find the source of) since I was 14 years old. As a pain management specialist, I had hoped Dr. Olaya would be the one to make a diagnosis happen and finally help me feel better. However, I instead got hateful comments about my weight (I'm 5'5 and 175 lbs, so about 30 lbs overweight), comments about how he "didn't believe that ibuprofen wasn't working to help my pain," several comments about how I wanted opioids (I never asked for and would not take opioids even if I were prescribed them), and several other disrespectful and downright rude comments. He also told me I was a "baby" and needed to "suck it up" after I cried during one of his consultations. It is abundantly clear that Dr. Olaya has never heard of a "bedside" manner. 0/5 stars

What a depressing experience! After a long bout of severe back pain I thought this Dr. really cared about helping me. A few weeks after my procedure I am still in a lot of pain so I made an appointment to get some advice. He gave me advice alright! He was irrational and very judgmental in what he told me trying to make me feel as if I had more control over my situation. I’m not a happy camper! Maybe he needs a long vacation.

This doctor and his entire staff are the rudest so called professionals I have ever met.. he could care less about your issues, he comes into the room with his hand on the knob to leave. Tries to intimidate you as much as he can. His nurses are dishonest, while I was a patient his nurse was fired for stealing drugs and I’m sure it’s happening now with one of them.. I would not recommend this doctor or the entire organization to anyone. They cannot keep your files and prescriptions right, send to wrong pharmacy, give me someone else’s papers, unbelievable how unorganized this place is, I mean the main office and the Jacksonville office..very bad experience for me, I’ve been there over a year tolerating this crap thinking the next visit would be better..but it’s only gotten worse. Please find somewhere else to go!

The most uncouth, and disrespectful doctor I have ever seen. My wife is in lots of pain, from a hip not being formed correctly from birth; which has caused extremely bad back problems. He tells her stuff like she don't need a cane, when the the Physical Therapy said she did. He yells at her, and makes hateful accusations. I would recommend you try to find a more understanding Doctor, because he certainly is not.

My mother went in for a visit and Dr. Olaya was very disrespectful and called her names. He is by far one of the worst physicians and I would not recommend him to anyone.
