Dr. Julio Ayala, MD

No one enjoys having a colonoscopy. Dr. Ayala has an amazing bedside manner, like an old-fashioned doctor. He his warm, caring and kind. He did not treat me as a number going along a factory line. He made me feel like he cared, which is rare these days. He has a good sense of humor, too, which helps! After the colonoscopy, he came in and explained the results. My last colonoscopy was at Lowell General 8 years ago, and it was a very bad experience. I never even met the doctor at Lowell General! I have GI issues, and Dr. Ayala's office called me later that day to schedule an appointment. They also called to check on me the day after the procedure. The entire experience--from check-in to leaving--was positive!

He diagnosed me with Celiac Disease over ten years ago when it wasn’t a thing. He was knowledgeable and connected the dots with my weight, fatigue and general symptoms. He didn’t make me waste my time or my money. I am a happy customer and now I live a healthier life symptoms free thanks to him.

So far three of my family members have been to Dr. Ayala. He is very thorough and gives you plenty of time to ask questions. He's very thoughtful and understanding and listen's to what you have to say. He did a few procedures on me and made sure I was comfortable and painfree during procedures. He also gave me reccemendation for Surgeon for another procedure he could not do. I reccomend him highly!!!

Very down to earth and easy to deal with. Dr. Ayala is professional and kind.
