Dr. Julie Lockwood, MD

I've been a patient for many years at this point and am transferring to a new practice asap due to how incredibly awful this office is. There is no possible way to reach them to request refills--my pharmacy is even unable to reach them. I ended up with a migraine for 5 days because they would not return calls. The last straw was a required telehealth followup appointment, which seems like a billing opportunity more than anything, for which they insisted I sign on 15 minutes early. No one from their end logged on until 30 minutes after they told me I must log on. Then, it took the provider an additional 20 minutes to join. The entire telehealth appt took 45 seconds--I actually timed it. It honestly feels like their top priority is billing and the very last priority is the care of patients. Dr. Lockwood is a good doctor and a really kind person. She should find a new practice or work to tighten things up--it's a mess.

All she does is throw medicine at your problem. She will not look any further than surface level. Anytime you ask questions or try and look further into your issues she will get defensive and say this is your life now there's nothing anyone can do.

Dr. Lockwood listened to what I had to say about my symptoms and had suggestions as to what tests she could do to find out what the problem could possibly be. Very caring.

Dr Julie Lockwood is amazing. She listens and she does what she can to help. She has been so attentive in helping me and managing my migraines. I know I can count on her and just call if I ever need anything. The front office staff is always there to answer the phone and relay any messages I have to Dr Lockwood. It's such a relief to find a Dr who listen to your problems and does what they can to help you. Thank you Dr Lockwood and staff!

I've been with Dr. Lockwood for many years now. She is always super pleasant to work with and has a great bedside manner! I really appreciate the computer appointments too, they make it so much easier. I definitely recommend her!

Bi-Annual review with Dr. Lockwood. She has a great bed side manner and always treats Barrett with the utmost respect. She is through and explains all status indicators very well. Barrett is very comfortable with Dr. Lockwood and enjoys the interaction with her.

My daughter was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3, She was then diagnosed with Epilepsy at age 7. We have known Dr. Julie Lockwood for several years and she has always made us feel important, informed and welcome as her patient. She has walked us thru some difucult decisions along the way. From Medications to the VPN stimulator that my daughter had implanted 10 months ago. I can't say enough about how thanful my family is to have met her.

Dr. Lockwood made me feel comfortable when I met her. Her expertise was evident in her assessment, and couldn't have been more helpful. I will certainly recommend her.

Dr Lockwood is personable, knowledgeable, & to the point. She is flexible & can switch to a Telehealth appointment if needed at the drop of a hat. I see her for migraines & epilepsy & I reside in two states. All of her traits make her a winning physician.

I really enjoyed my last visit with Dr. Lockwood, she addressed my concerns and very thoughtful and requested update on MRI and EEG to see why having migraines suddenly and why had a seizure to make sure that nothing has changed in my MRI or my EEG from the last time it was done.

She gives clear answers and direct information about my condition and When I have any concerns or cause of confusion for any reason she can explain with no hurry calm and patience.

She can't remember what she's treating you for after being ur neurologist for 2yrs an treating you for a specific reason an acts surprised when u ask about diagnosis around the medication im on..Goodluck there.

The doctor is very thorough with my care, maybe even more so than the previous neurologist I was seeing at this practice that I did like but has unfortunately left their practice. She’s willing to talk about any questions or care that I have for my health and is willing to help with this puzzling situation that I have on my hands, so I can appreciate her. She’s definitely one of the few doctors that I’m closer with, so I don’t take it for granted. She’s a hard worker, even through the strange times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr Lockwood was always on time for my appointments. She always listened to my concerns. Excellent, caring doctor.

Dr Lockwood is extremely knowledgeable and kind. She is not the type that just gives you pain meds to pacify you. She actually wants to do tests to find the source of the problem. She really seems to care.

I was so surprised to see the one low rating of Dr. Lockwood! I have seen Dr. Lockwood three times and have always been so impressed with her knowledge as well as her bedside manner. She truly listens to any concerns you may have and spends time addressing them. She is very caring and truly cares about her patients. I would highly recommend her and feel so fortunate that I found her!

She refused to help until I have a test to confirm what has already been diagnosed. She prescribed medication that actually made my condition worse and now she wont consider anything until I have another expensive test. What kind of dr just wipes their hands of you & says she wont help you? She wouldnt even talk to me over the phone, even though she was right there talking to her MA. Regarding the MA-Unfriendly & Rude, Not someone who should be helping people with serious medical condition.
