Dr. Julie Kim, MD

I was referred to Dr. Kim by (PCP).. myself ,being a nervous patient , upon meeting Dr.Kim , she put me right at ease. She is incredibly knowledgeable and explains everything (in regards to your situation ) so well. She is smart and passionate about being an OB/GYN .Her knowledge and expertise is so apparent, patients are left feeling extremely confident in her . If you are in need of this type of pysician , Dr. Kim absolutely surpasses others by far!! I cant say enough positive things to fully describe what a wonderful physician she is. From her knowledge, expertise, compassion and dedication , just amazing. I had a medical procedure done by her … she anticiçated the exact outcome, even prior to the results coming in . She isnt just another Dr. , she is compassionate and cares for her patients . Takes the time to explain in detail , as well answer any questions you may have. I’ve already referred many others to her :) Shes a definite 5 star , all the way! Thank you , Dr.kim

Went in for new patient visit and exam. Found her to be Very judgmental without actually asking questions or verifying information and was belittling. Have never been so uncomfortable with a doctor visit ever. Will not be returning and do not recommend.

Dr. Kim is super nice! Gentle and explains everything to my adult daughter who is on the high-functioning end of the spectrum (Autism). She is VERY conscientious as she demonstrated to me when my wife was hospitalized several years ago. She was online, checking hospital activity on a Sunday morning and saw that my wife was currently having a surgical procedure and was under anesthesia. She had planned a procedure also that would require a general anesthetic and called Elmhurst Hospital to alert them that she was coming in (again, this is early on a SUNDAY) to do the procedure and save my wife an additional general anesthetic event. She's the definition of "conscientious dedication".

Absolutely HORRIBLE. Do not recommend. Truly shocked at how terrible this experience is with Dr. Kim. I kindly refused cervical exams as they do nothing but tell you how dilated you are... she literally said “no you have to that’s how we practice here” ? And then proceeded to say “you can discuss that with the Dr. you see when you come in for your exams” I then asked for clarification on what a Group B test entails and she said word for word “it’s a culture group B test” and kept repeating it as if I was too incompetent to know what exactly that is. Overall she has the worst bed side manner and is just extremely rude and belittling. She is the reason I am transferring practices at 35 WEEKS and made me want to leave in tears.

I have been with Dr Kim for many years and absolutely love her! She is thorough, takes her time, listens and is caring to her patients. She is hard to schedule appointments with, usually 3 months out but well worth the wait.

Dr Kim is a excellent Dr. She has helped me so much with all my discomfort and walked me through what I needed to do to stay healthy with my female issues.

I do not recommend Dr. Kim. I would first like to start off by saying I am carrying my first child and I am very “new” to pregnancy and how things go. Every time I asked her a question, at my appointment, she rolled her eyes and would respond to my questions in a nonchalant manner. I asked her one question and one of her responses were I “it’s common sense.” NOTHING is common sense to a first time mother. Secondly my appointment was rushed and not informative at all. She didn’t make me feel comfortable. Dr. Kim made me want to change the hospital I would like to deliver my child at based off of my one appointment with her. If there is any way I can skip her in rotation it would be greatly appreciated. I am disgusted with my first appointment. The nurses were very nice and informative. I would have expected the same or better from the doctor. I hope this review finds you well.

Dr. Kim is a very nice, professional, and patient doctor. She respectfully tended to the needs and concerns during my visits. I feel supported safe and trusted in her care. I wish I could have her as a permenant OB Doctor. However, elmhurst clinic have a team of OB Doctors and it’s required to see them all. Some doctors at elmhurst clinic are very rude and disrespectful but she is the best OB Doctor thus far.

Dr. Kim delivered my baby and she was a wonderful coaching me though the pushes. This was my second child and the baby was out in no time. During the prenatal visits I looked forward to her honest and direct answers to my questions, and she has a down to earth personality that always shows the lighter side of things.

Dr. Kim was supportive of my decision to deliver my baby via VBAC and performed the procedure when the day came. She is a numbers driven person, sometimes she may not come across too personal, but rest assured that she is paying attention to your chart and your history. During the delivery she was attentive to both my baby's and my vitals and explaining the progress and her opinion on that progress every step of the way. I thank Dr. Kim for her support and performing a successful VBAC!
