Dr. Julie Han, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Han for over 5 years. She has always taken her time to understand my issues. She listens and asks questions, as she is genuinely interested. She is on time with my appointments. She had to give me 4 different knee injections over the years. I was very scared. She was very gentle and explained everything to me before hand. And her treatments worked. She also would fit me in to her busy office schedule if i needed to see her. She would respond back to my many question in the electronic medical record as well. I appreciate her taking such good care of me. I had multiple knee issues and shoulder issues over the years.

I had the best experience with Dr. Han. She was very thorough, patient and precise. Definitely would recommend her!

Dr. Han is a personable caring doctor. She often made follow up calls to make sure her prescribed medicine was effective. She considered your thoughts and feelings when developing a protocol of medical care. She went the extra mile to ensure that her patients are in good health. Dr. Han recommended a procedure for me, as a result, I experienced full recovery and returned to an active lifestyle. I am grateful and appreciative of the skillful care I received under Dr. Julie S. I could not be happier with Dr. Han. Her advice has been spot on - conservative (which is what you want), but on par with best practices according to my research. After trying PT per her advice for my torn meniscus and Baker's cyst, I still was not where I wanted to be, so she administered a cortisone shot, which helped a lot, and most recently gel shots, which are also helping. Her technique is masterful. Though others have found the shots very painful, with her, the anesthetic injections (the only ones you can feel) are very tolerable. Her explanations are thorough and she has always answered my many questions thoroughly, which is greatly appreciated in today's medical climate. She offered to help if I encountered an insurance denial. And she has been very responsive to written questions through the NYU "MyChart." In addition to the above, she is extremely empathic, caring and "nice." Dr. Han is an EXCEPTIONAL physician and I very highly recommend her!

I was in severe pain and should have had an MRI after my first visit - even if insurance would not have paid, I would have paid out of pocket, but I was not told that was an option. I was told I had to to do 6 weeks of physical therapy and that should fix it. PT only made the pain worse and when she eventually ordered an MRI it showed a large cyst. Then she recommended an other non-surgical specialist at NYU! I went straight to Hospital for Special Surgery and had the cyst removed and the pain went away immediately. Non-surgical treatment never would have worked.
