Dr. Juliana Mazzafera, MD

I cannot recommend Dr. Mazzafera enough! As a primary care physician, she is everything you could hope for—thorough, compassionate, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. She takes the time to listen and truly makes you feel heard and supported. I never feel rushed during appointments, and she always explains things clearly, making sure I understand every step of my care. It’s rare to find a doctor who balances professionalism with such a warm, human touch. I feel very lucky to have Dr. Mazzafera as my PCP—she’s simply amazing!

I've been Dr. Mazzafera's patient since March 2023 and my interactions with her have not been the best. My physical exams always felt rushed and my concerns that I have due to my health were passed like it was not important. I have a family history of Hyperthyroidism and my blood culture came back elevated, with that she did an ultrasound and saw that my thyroid gland was enlarged, more than normal and I was 23 years old at the time. She did not care for that my thyroid was enlarged and did not pursue more tests or refer to a specialist, nor did she follow up the ultrasound. Another encounter that I had with her was her prescribing me antibiotics without doing correct testing. The antibiotic then caused me to have a UTI that lead me to the hospital when I was on vacation. She did not give referrals to properly diagnosis me, I had to do all the research on my own to find what was wrong with myself.Overall thoughts is that she's rushed and does not ta

All questions addressed, calm and caring demeanor, remembered everything about my mother, professional, organized, followed up on everything. You'll be fortunate to have this doctor.
